Hmmm.... none scheduled. Wonder "when" she might be sentenced. Maybe after McIntosh gets his trial date & she has to testify against him. It has happened in other cases.
Yes it has.
I don't know how she lives with herself. Maybe testifying against him will help her conscience. smdh on this one. I just can't imagine leaving my child while he's being tortured. Just can't imagine.

I can't imagine it either - at LEAST call the frigging police!!! SMDH

@kkdj - just wondering if there might be an updated sentencing hearing for Godfrey yet?

TIA! :)

DA to seek death penalty in slaying of 8-year-old Corona boy – Press Enterprise

April 22, 2021

Riverside County District Attorney Mike Hestrin plans to seek the death penalty for Bryce Daniel McIntosh, the Corona man accused of murdering his 8-year-old son Noah.

The DA’s Office announced its intention in a court filing this month.

In addition to the murder charge, a special circumstances allegation of inflicting torture was filed, making the case eligible to be considered for capital punishment if McIntosh is convicted as charged.
[.....]
Hestrin declined to say specifically why he decided to seek the death penalty.

“If the totality of the review of those eligible cases warrants the death penalty, then our office will seek death,” his spokesman, John Hall, wrote in an email.

If the allegations against McIntosh are true, then Noah may have met a particularly gruesome death.

This makes me feel sick to my stomach!
And meanwhile, Noah's own mother left him there, knowing he was being tortured. She literally could have saved her own son's life and did not!

This crime is beyond horrendous. Dismemberment is extremely rare. It's a form of depravity that even the most hardened criminals can't bring themselves to do, let alone to a child.

A murderer like that needs to have an element of detachment from the victim and regard their target as something less than human so they don’t feel guilty about killing. It’s like killing an animal to them.

As if that weren't evil enough, there's what he did with the flesh. It makes my skin crawl.
