So they did comment upon Dylan ending the communication so early that night---but no comments about what happened the next morning?

No explanation for why Dylan didn't get up and take the ride to Ryan's? No explanation for why Dylan didnt text or call anyone that morning? No explanation for how he ended up on that steep ravine?
I don’t think he said Elaine said that. It was his friend Kristen. Then Bogan said we already know they both were tired from staying up late so they probably both feel asleep is why the text convo ended. How ridiculous.

And if they are saying Dylan fell asleep at 8 pm--why didnt he wake up to catch a ride with mark 11 hours later? that makes no sense

Yep and why doesn’t Mark push Dylan to get up that morning like a responsible dad or even just tell Dylan to text Ryan and say meet up later as he can’t be bothered to get up.

Mark can’t explain any of this away.

exactly. Which is probably why he kept insisting that MR 'dismembered' the body...I dont think the state ever accused him of doing that...but the defense wants the jury to believe it for some reason now...

maybe to make it seem impossible to do in such short window of time?
Prosecution witness's discussed animal scavenging for why the remains were scattered at the original remains site and the extreme unlikelihood that any animal would move the skull to where it was found. They never suggested that Mark dismembered Dylan the night he killed him

I got the feeling that they believe Mark went back to the spot where he dumped Dylan's body, moved the skull to a place harder for it to be found and maybe grabbed the backpack with all of Dylan's belonging's to dump somewhere else. JMO

What was it Mr Johnson tried to object to? Something about Bogan showing a pic of the garage and saying the fishing pole was hanging there the whole time and they hadn’t looked hard enough? Guessing this might be first topic on Rebuttal. JMO

look in jury instructions--you won't find that instruction in there--defense counsel claims if we can't tell you exactly blow by blow what happened, that means it is not guilty---not true

The victim is DEAD---we know that--

the ATM card--it was deactivated when Dylan tried to guess the pin--the card may have been deactivated, but the defendant still took out the remains 2000 dollars

The search was a painstaking effort that went on for years

charges were filed in 2017--this was no rush to judgment

the man who did everything to cover his tracks now wants to benefit from the fact he left him in the forest to be scavenged by animals---he now wants to benefit from that

The Casey Anthony jury fell for that bogus requirement that the prosecution has to tell us exactly how the victim died.

Hopefully that doesn't happen in this case. JMO

This really resonates. So many of us have felt this over the years. MR, you DO NOT get to benefit from leaving your boy's body in the elements among wild animals. Infuriating and just so sad.

It was asked what the terrain was like from MR home to the remains site
Looks like this. That huge vertical space just below Site 1 is part of Vallecito Crags. (second URL) Even the "easier" route from MRs home is not for the faint of heart.

Rock Climbing in Vallecito Crags, Durango

The "Park Here" arrow on this graphic is really close to where site 1 appears to be. This also shows the two gates (the "dumbells")

Agreed!

I am amazed more hasn’t been asked about the Debit card.

Dylan had it so the fact Mark ended up with that card means he killed Dylan. There is no other explanation on how he ended up with that card. It means that when he was tidying up the crime scene he took that card out of Dylan’s wallet.

I bet Dylan had taken his shoes and socks off at Mark's home. After Mark killed him he took Dylan's body and backpack. If the backpack was full there wouldn't be room for the shoes and socks so Mark dumped those separately. JMO

wow----

mark threw Dylans pictures in the trash---but he kept this picture of the protest at his home, begging him to tell what he knew about where Dylan was

He couldn't wait to show you this picture of him being hassled but he threw away pictures of his missing son in the trash
