LS never demonstrated getting in through the window in the dark, and then stepping down into a room without lights. Before leaving the R's property, the intruder(s) would have to replace the grate. There is no way to know the original, exact location of the suitcase. Besides, JR's tale of breaking the window months earlier is shady.
proust20,
Have to agree here. If I were to write a book on the case I would use LS and JR in a first person narrative, simply recounting their statements verbatim, as they demonstrate with all their ducking and diving, how ridiculous their accounts are.
e.g. LS
knew JR was innocent after praying on knees, yah, fine, or what about the chair in the doorway blocking the exit, how does that work?
Apparently Fleet White knew where the suitcase was located, as, from memory, he moved it and placed a piece of glass onto it?
Besides, JR's tale of breaking the window months earlier is shady.
Well, what do you expect? JR is a shady character, he has an excuse for everything including why Patsy never knew about the gifts being in the wine-cellar.
Meaning JR knew all about the wine-cellar contents, probably because he put them there, along with a backup story that was now redundant alike the broken window, which LHP knew nothing about, including seeing any Christmas gifts days before Christmas when she had her family moved the Tree and decorations upstairs. Leaving Patsy to claim someone cleaned up all the glass, etc, but LHP will have told the GJ what the facts were, and they did not include her cleaning up any glass from a broken window!
Two people who cannot hide even when they pass away are Dr. Beuf and LS, as the GJ evidence and their prior statements lock them into a position that can be contested.
Another fly in the ointment for JR's grand IDI scenario is he never knew Fleet White had visited the basement earlier that morning.
Which suggests the possibility that JonBenet was moved
after Fleet White looked in?
The parallel here is again with the wine-cellar and BR's gifts, which allegedly only JR knew about, all from his own mouth.
Like an amateur magician he then spoils the spell he cast by finding JonBenet, which unlike the above parallels he has to claim he never knew she was there.
Fleet White was so astounded he had to return back downstairs to see how he could have missed JonBenet earlier that morning!
