If you remind me a couple of days before the 6/25 hearing date, I can pull up the calendar that provides the type of hearing. I think I have about a 5-day window before the hearing-- otherwise, it's lost to me forever! CA court records are not consistent from County to County -- almost as bad as NJ!

CA Penal Code 1050 PC states that “to continue any hearing in a criminal proceeding, including the trial…a written notice shall be filed and served on all parties to the proceeding at least two court days before the hearing sought to be continued…”

Given the request for a continuance was filed by the DA, I'm presuming it was granted by the court, and still no preliminary hearing held. I've never seen a case where the public kept in the dark as long as this. It's baffling to me.

DA commented that there are 1800 pages of evidence, and 12 CD's of photos. Hope more will be shared at preliminary hearing -- still not scheduled....

The DA's comments go back to summer 2019 and the only opportunity to learn of this evidence is the prelim. I'm concerned that the circumstantial evidence is very weak and these delays are with some hope for recovering a body. In the meanwhile, the defense has nothing to lose by keeping silent. How sad for Aranda's family and friends. I wish this case had more coverage -- some pressure from the public for answers.
