In regards to Kowalski's old Kensington address, It's duly noted Richard's post http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...ential-Suspects-and-Persons-of-Interest/page7
says "As you mention, James Kowalski was discussed here as a potential suspect. While he may have lived in Kensington at one time, I believe that it was some time after the girls disappeared. I could not find any listings for him in the 1974 or 1975 directories." although Mr. Kowalski's 1993 Hyattsville address of 4213 Queensberry Rd eventually became a matter of concern for the neighbor, Hugh Turley who met him in 1986.
See following excerpt from article "A Resident Evil"
…"after a 10-year old boy, George Burdynski Jr. disappeared from his Brentwood neighborhood on May 24, 1993.* A police dragnet descended on the community, but tragically, the child was never found.*
*Kowalski, the only publically identified suspect in the case, was never charged – but investigators discovered in his home thousands of pictures and videotapes of child *advertiser censored*, some featuring boys from the same neighborhood as Burdynsky.* Two of them were Kowalski’s godsons.
*
Eventually, he was charged with 84 counts of child abuse and *advertiser censored*, as well as running a pedophile ring with two other area men. Multiple convictions both here and in Winchester, Va., where he owned a home, led to lengthy jail time, and I expect he is still serving it.*"**

In 1993, FBI was just starting to use "chat lines" to aid in arrest, today there's Y-STR DNA profle which includes fathers, sons, brothers, uncles, nephews and a wider group of male relatives, even out to third and fourth cousins, a useful forensic tool in certain cold cases. IMO, this case is worthy of continued research.
