Found Alive OH - Kason & Kyair Thomass - 5-Month-Old Twins - In Stolen Vehicle - *Nalah Jackson Arrested* - Columbus

There are no words! o_O

OLUMBUS, Ohio — After the arrest of 24-year-old Nalah Jackson, who is charged with two counts of kidnapping, she gained another charge for allegedly spitting on a sheriff's deputy in Indiana while being booked.

*************

Jackson made her first court appearance Saturday for one count of battery bodily waste, a level six felony in Indiana. The Marion County Magistrate ended the hearing early after Jackson continuously used expletives, despite being asked not to.

Jackson was escorted to a video monitor during the hearing, handcuffed with a deputy on each arm. When the magistrate asked if her name was Nalah Jackson, Jackson responded, "Are you talking to me as a person or a slave?"

The magistrate answered, "I'm speaking to you as a person." She then asked her name again.

Jackson gave the name, "Josphis Hunt." When asked if she understood her rights, Jackson responded by saying, "no... yes... no... I'm pleading guilty. Just go ahead and sentence me."

During the remote hearing, the Marion County Magistrate set Jackson's bond at $500, and told Jackson that even if the bond is met, she would not be released due to a hold on the State of Ohio for two counts of kidnapping.

After her hearing for battery bodily waste, Jackson began yelling expletives toward the magistrate, prompting the end of the hearing. The magistrate told her clerk that they technically didn't get through the hearing and the judge for the upcoming hearing on Dec. 26 will likely have to redo the hearing.
Well I hope she’s getting medication that she desperately needs… she left both those boys to the elements and they both could have died - and clearly at this time she doesn’t care.

Whoa!

I think we are very lucky that these babies survived this ordeal.

She doesn’t care about herself and she didn’t care about the babies.

Thankfully they were found just in the Nick of time.

MOO

Highlights from the article including the bus schedule clue these women tracked down:

First they found the kidnapper:
First the cousins called Columbus police, who told them to call the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. When they called Indianapolis police, the women struggled to get the point across that they believed Jackson was in their car.
Curry said a police officer initially seemed skeptical about whether it was Jackson, and said they should take her to a shelter.

Curry said she showed police a screenshot of Jackson’s mugshot and after comparing the woman in the car, the officer decided she did in fact appear to be Jackson and took her into custody about 2 p.m. Thursday.

Then the women found the baby!
they (the women) decided to trace the bus route and look for vehicles covered in snow that would indicate the car hadn't moved in a while.

The women were about to give up, they said, and were getting hungry. They saw a Papa John's on Indiana Avenue and were thinking about getting food when they saw a Honda in a parking lot covered in snow.

Curry said she ran to the car and saw baby legs in the back seat and the baby’s face in the rear-view mirror, and her heart began racing, knowing this had to be the vehicle. The back car door was locked, and she feared the worst after hearing no sound. Delmar said she saw a couple officers inside a Blaze Pizza nearby and rushed to tell them about the baby.

"We've been alerted that the missing child may be located over here at the vehicle at 10th and Indiana," an officer is heard saying at about 6:40 p.m. in police radio communications.
A chance encounter and mother's intuition: How 2 Indy women helped find missing Ohio twin

So thankful for those two woman, but I have to question why two random women were they able to find the kidnapper and that poor little baby, but the police with all their manpower and money could not. If it was left to the police, Kason would not have survived.

Yeah… not a good look for them for sure. I really hope they get the reward money.

My feelings exactly. Add to that, I see articles claiming that police found him. While we know that it was the two women who found the suspect and the child, and notified police. And it was even difficult to convince police that the suspect was in fact the suspect. Sure doesn't sound like a good police work.

You would never know because most msm articles are claiming that police found the missing child. Police were notified by the two women that the child was in the car. I wouldn't call that police finding him. And what did police actually do to try and find him? Were they trying to follow the clues? He wouldn't have lasted through the night with the cold coming.

From the post and link by @housewife above, the ladies said they called a Columbus police detective to report they saw the suspect and they were told to call Indianapolis police! What? Really? Did the Columbus detective really tell her to do his job? Wow! Is that really the protocol they follow?

Well, a Columbus policeman couldn't arrest the suspect in Indiana. So that probably is protocol.

I obviously know they couldn’t arrest her in Indianapolis because he was in Columbus, OH. Gee. But the Columbus, OH detective should have called IMPD and spoken to them directly.

The ladies wouldn’t have had to work so hard to convince IMPD that the suspect was in the vicinity.

Columbus police knew there were already arrest warrants for the the kidnapper. IMPD probably wouldn’t have blown off the Columbus detective quite so easily as he did these 2 heroes.

I doubt protocol says that a police detective from 1 jurisdiction in another city/ state tells a private citizen to call a local police department when there is an active Amber alert, warrants for kidnapping issued, and a 5 month old baby is missing.

Really?

************
Members of the community gathered Saturday afternoon for a drive-through donation to support the family ahead of Christmas. At All Nations Worship Assembly in east Columbus, volunteers gathered to collect supplies for the fully reunited Thomas family.

Organizers of the event, Brandis Mason and Kara Beauford, say they don’t know the family personally, but they wanted to give the community an opportunity to be a blessing. While they don’t know what it’s like to lose a child, they are both mothers.

“We know how it is just day-to-day providing for the babies,” says Brandis Mason. “We just wanted to come together for the family as a whole.”

At the drive-through, people dropped off things like diapers or anything else they thought may support the family.

At last check, Kason is still in Indianapolis at the hospital and is expected to be released sometime this weekend.

I am not disagreeing with you. Police shouldn't be getting credit for something they didn't actually do. Some articles are claiming that police found the baby. Well, it's not exactly true.
Police were told by the two actual finders where the baby was.
