There is 100% no way that he could still be considered among the student population while under suspicion for the murder of 4 undergrads! Can you IMAGINE the outrage??
I genuinely thought that they would just do a formal suspension.

IDK if he has any contract with WSU, for example, to cover his role as a teaching assistant so idk if employment law applies.
Most universities have a code of conduct policy for students that likely covers students charged with crimes.

Destroy him ? A cold-blooded, sick souled, horrible human who is not decent. Where this goes, if the crazy-law-system we have, is to a cage for the rest of his sad, sordid, life ! OJ got away with it. Skakel got away with it. Cosby the pervert got away with it. Crimes are not necessarily proved or found guilty in our law system. Rather, when the Chief of Police states they have their killer, take his advice and wisdom. They are going to have a boatload of forensics and evidence. Mister oh-so-clever killer, forgot the teachings... when you take, you also leave. Probably all over the place. Bless our Law Enforcement who have to be around this killer monster under the bed. Yikes. Destroy him is too easy. He deserves much worse. 4 dead innocent students under the ages of 22 !!!

Once he's convicted--this is appropriate. Before then, MOO, it's not. We don't even know what evidence they have but we do know many people have been wrongly convicted and then only freed years later. While this is just a forum and not a courtroom, it behooves us to take the highroad and follow the "innocent until proven guilty" stance to protect integrity. Just MOO.

If in what I think was his plan he anticipated a visit from LE I don't think he would have left anything on a hard drive that even resembled a plan. Anything that was on a hard drive would have been innocuous and easily explained as "work/study related'. But, who knows how savvy he is when it comes to technology. He may have had incriminating evidence on a hard drive and subsequently removed the drive and destroyed it. He may have used a chromebook or similar machine with no hard drive and all his work was done in the cloud. He may have backed up his work onto a flash drive that he carried with him. Or, he could have left everything out in the open not even password protected or encrypted.

If he did do nefarious online "things", he may have done so via a public wi-fi or ponied off a neighboring wi-fi that wasn't secured. Many places such as hospitals and libraries and probably buildings at the university have "open" wi-fi accessible while you're in the parking lot..you don't even have to go inside. Some require a password and some don't. It would be next to impossible to identify a specific internet user under those circumstances.

IMO, if he had his plan in electronic format he kept it with him at all times and it would be on something small enough to flush should the need arise.
moo
I think if this is a line of thought, that he definitely had more than one hard drive.

Would not any connectuon he made to hot spots or wifi or bluetooth also record the device tho?
I don't know all the ins an outs but its my understanding that when a handshake connection is made alot of devices can or are recorded?
Don't know alot about this lol.
Also, how would TOR or VPN effect this?
Not saying he did any of that.

Not arguing with you. Just thinking out loud. If he’s exonerated then i imagine he could go back. But for the time being there’s no point in keeping him on as a student - innocent or not innocent, he can’t attend classes and he can’t get his phd in jail.

Also, it’s possible the criminology professor knows a little more of what they have on him or has put together some loose ends herself simply from knowing and teaching and working with him. She may have shared these things with the the higher ups and of course law enforcement. They higher ups at the university may already KNOW know he’s guilty. But again, even if they don’t, he can’t participate so what’s the point of calling him a student for this semester?

If found innocent i suppose they would consider taking him back. But i doubt he’d return to that university….s

I agree with you - that prof for whom he TA'ed has spilled all the beans she can find.

If he's determined to be not guilty, there will likely still be things that come out at trial that make a graduate program wnat to cut ties. OTOH, we once had a college VP who turned out to be a murderer (16 years before; served 8 years; second degree murder). He behaved and dressed impeccably, but a discrimination/harassment suit filed by 3 women ended his career at our school. He's working somewhere else in a similar capacity.

He was always very nice to me, but I heard he was often rude to women (particularly untenured women).

Interesting . I actually meant an employment contract. As he says in the body cam, ' I work there'

Dang, y’all have made this day of waiting highly entertaining!

please don’t jump on me, I am a trauma nurse and speak from a different perspective…..

Is it possible (because of high level of interest, media etc) that they could land in a city/town close to Moscow and then helicopter to final destination? I know that sounds “Hollywood” but it’s a common occurrence in medicine all the time (for example when we transport critically ill, organ/transplant transport etc).

On the other hand, this is what LE does all the time, right?

Windows are not tinted.
Huh. So a they arrested the driver of a 2015 Elantra with non-tinted windows when what they asked people to look for was a 2011-2013 Elantra that had tinted windows.

The caveat is that they never actually stated it had tinted windows, but the stock photo they distributed had them.

What a wild goose chase that all was.

He has no criminal record and at this point just stands accused. They could suspend him from the program pending resolution. The school def needed to take action. Is it also possible that he registers and pays for each semester separately? And maybe had not yet paid for the next semester ? I have no idea how a doctorate program works obvi. All. Imo

I still wonder if they gave the window to throw the suspect off? Or if they were just entirely wrong?

Avid flight tracker here - I just calculated the flight time for a turbo prop aircrat like the Pilatus PC-12 from the two nearest airports, and with a smaller plane, without the fuel stops added, total flight time was estimated at around 8.5 hours.

The FBI has to have planes that can fly longer distances, doesn't it? But then, it might have been a convenience and security thing. Speculation only: PA LE had a plane nearby and ready to go, whereas getting another plane in place would take longer. And changing planes anywhere along the way would introduce all kinds of security risks -- taking BK on/off planes --- so they just decided that PA LE would get to escort BK all the way back. Plus, it gives the ID LE, attys, court officials, etc more time to plan. (all MOO!)

Agreed, I believe LE have a plethora of damning evidence that will be BK's undoing !
In no way (imo) would they arrest someone on a 'hunch', or anything close to that.

They have something BK cannot wiggle out of, or attempt to explain away :
  • Bloody glove impression.
  • Dropped hair from his curly, well-kept locks. (I think he thinks highly of his physical appearance !)
  • Bloody sole impression from his shoes.(My .02 is that it was messy and he couldn't avoid tracking through their blood. )
  • Dna under the victim's fingernails (best evidence imo as why would someone there feel the need to gouge his arm if he was just there at a 'party' ?).
  • Phone pings or car gps showing he was at the home during the murders.
  • Etc.

Unless there's an update or when the AA is released, I think it's possible he was not one of the party goers invited to the house... and so his dna should not have been there ?
The surviving roommates will know if they recognize him and if he was ever there, as well.
Again my .02.
What if he was innocently in the house previously though? We’ve seen videos where the victims aren’t home and there’s parties at the house. He didn’t even need to be invited by one of them for a friend of a friend to have invited him in the past. I’m sure that house has a plethora of dna. I agree with you it matters a ton on where his dna was found specifically.

That body cam footage from the first stop… BK’s mouth is so dry it made ME thirsty. Going to get some Thai food and the way he keeps looking at his Dad… SUS.
I just cannot believe he told the cop, TWICE, that they were going for Thai food. Even after the father initiated the WSU banter.

No dude, you’re going to Pennsylvania! I bet his heart was going a million miles an hour when dad kept popping out actual truth. “The Pocono mountains.” Poor dad.
