Anyone familiar with welding? Can it be done inside without cathing fire to somthing else?

Has cause of death been determined. I hope to God that the welding torch was not the cause of death.

This is one of the most horrible crimes that I have heard in a very long time.

WHAT?!?!?! so they do know her...ughhhh why the denying? im assuming dd is one that she has thrown under the bus and that may be why??? whoa

Gypsy I think they are refering to when this Mona came by to say that she had been there earlier in the day and that it seemed like someone was there with him.
I hadn't heard she was there Christmas day too ! That woman is a sicko....IMO she was only there to see what people knew, not to comfort anyone. We have to remember also that AD's roomate was friends with this sicko !

We also need to remember that she came by after she did these horrible things to that boy and dumped his body

TYVM for the Stormy update SpringMom

This is horrible for sure and my heart breaks for the entire family.

jmho

I feel very bad for AD right now, and grandma. Hindsight is 20-20 and I'm sure grandma wishes she had not let JF go to AD. And I'm sure AD wishes she had not left JF alone or had let him go stay with grandma over Christmas break when she had to work.

But these people have suffered enough and airing their dirty laundry (not talking about here really - just in MSM, everywhere) has got to be very very painful. They had nothing to do with his murder. Nothing at all. Not one thing.
AD is not responsible for some murderer's actions. She had no way of knowing that danger lurked so close to home.

It hurts my heart to see her background and all of her transgressions hung out for the world to see. She may not be the perfect mom but she just lost her son, in a very violent way. And I'm sure she just wants to crawl in a hole as it is, without the other stuff being thrown at her.

Sorry - just had to get this off my chest.

amen. I agree 100%. My thoughts and prayers are with this little man and his family and friends.

From what we have heard, on the ground first hand, she came over to explain to them that she was there and when and why. When you are grieving, sometimes people show up that you have no idea who they are, but know that they know someone you know and assume that they are on the up and up and there to help out of the goodness of their hearts.

Perfect example, several years ago my cousin was killed in a horrific car accident where she had gotten in a friends friends car and he was speeding and wrapped it around a pole. Turned out the car was stolen. He survived and left her there to die. People came to the funeral - giving condolences and seeming to genuinely be concerned. Only to find out - one of them helped the guy leave the scene of the crime. In other words, was a part in leaving my cousin there to die alone. In times of grief, we don't do background checks on people that show up to show support or comfort.

It's throws A LOT of sparks, but there is small ones that can be used inside. I've seen them at the hardware store and seen them taken as evidence as drug paraphenalia before.

I have no idea about the retoactive part or about the parimeters, but I do know that if you are convicted of a felony which she has been and if you are incarcerated in prison they have your DNA on file, I also know that when a violent crime occures and there is DNA obtained it is matched in the system...I has someone say the system in backlogged, that is true for rape kits, but not for violent crimes from my understanding, so again I think if there were numerous unsolved murders with DNA evidence they would have had her off the streets before yesterday.

There are crimes out there with so little DNA or very degraded DNA that LE is waiting for either more criminal DNA to enter the data base or for technology to catch up so they don't waste their tiny sample in one or two tries. So they hang on to it and there has been no attempted match. There is a backlog, some states only in recent years started collecting DNA and it's not retroactive so not all felons have had DNA taken, etc etc. There are too many variables to to say that a felon hasn't commited other murders because their DNA, if it's in the system, hasn't made a match.

LE already said there was no relationship between her and the mom or SD they knew each other in passing.

She went with the story she saw JF that day so then she is part of the case and it is only slightly weird that she showed up at the home..

From that video, the lady being interviewed is a friend of the mom. She stated to the reporter that one the night that he went missing MN came over to visit with the mom and stepdad (notice she says mom and step dad, not roommate) for awhile and came back for a short time on Christmas day.
add to that she went on to say that who they thought was a friend turned out not to be....pffft

here is an example of a small one

Isn't this a classical characteristic of a certain type of perp responsible for the crime? I really think a profiler is involved here and the LE said some things in the presser that were planted to elicit a response from her one way or another.

My opinion does not diminish the belief that I also feel 100% that she is capable of doing this alone and has probably hurt if not killed before.

FWIW

I have always had respect for LE doing their investigation of a case and never once did I ever post anything negative about LE.

However, today, I felt that the "power of suggestion" was flashing before my eyes using flash cards that read: "predator, serial killer, torches".

Plant a seed and watch the tree grow!

This is just how I felt personally.
just catching up.. but not me

intuition maybe... but how many of us here are homicide detectives and can say we have this same intuition from working the job?

point being said.. I am an open heart nurse and been one a long time and I can tell 10 seconds or more before I have to start a code on a patient. It is my intuition. Can I explain it in scientific words? No. has it saved lives? yes. many. That being said, I do not qualify this homicide detectives intuition as a "torch" or any sort of power of suggestion. I rather think he really feels this. ((not to mention has much more data than we do to possible back up his supposition much like I as a nurse would have the calcium levels or digoxin levels of a patient before I get the sense of impending doom))

We are lucky he shared his feelings with the public so openly... this is where the UID forum and missing forums sleuths can come into play and help them out.

MOO

Stormy = AWESOME!

Aside from that, I feel terrible for this mother. She seemed to be trying to be a good mother for Jonathan. I hate seeing her being drug through the mud by the MSM.

I totally agree. She was trying to be a good mom. She was working and trying to provide what she thought was a safe home for him. How was she to know that this sicko was lurking and waiting to destroy her son and her life?

i do remember....just dont get it and the need to lie about knowing her....thats all

In the northeast we use them to thaw frozen water pipes. Yes, you must be extremely careful - but yes you can use them inside. They fix copper pipes and solder with them

Wait...how did Stormy wind up speaking to the family? Does Stormy know them? And this is so not funny but everytime I see Websleuth's Stormy I think I'm reading weatherperson stormy...like the exwife on Reba who took the name Stormy Clearweather when she got a weathergirl job. Anyway, does Stormy-not-Clearweather know the family?

Boy, I dont even know what to think about that. Makes me wonder about the rumors of a drug deal gone bad. It could be possible that they all were involved just not directly. It's possible that if anyone else was involved in a potential drug deal (money needed for Christmas) Mona was underestimated on her seriousness of potential money being owed.
