The Rumor Mill -- unsubstantiated, yet possible relevant information

My information from a former source in SCPD is the OB area after Midnight is not patrolled at all. If a call comes in from that area a SCPD car from the 1st or 3rd is dispatched. No cop in SCPD is going to go down there unless they are called or if they found a nice place to take a nap. But there are plenty of quiet locations on the Mainland .Why go all the way down there to fight with the mosquitos when you have a perfectly good firehouse to catch a few winks? If I know that then what makes you think a criminal doesn't know that?

There is a story told to me where a burglar did a break to trigger the alarm. The burglar would go back an hour later if no police were dispatched to the alarm. The alarm went out and the car never showed up until an hour later. As long as he was there why not take a spin around. And what does he find? The burglar in the store. The cop is hailed as a hero for being so diligent. LOL.

A few years ago the idiot Dormer went public and said there were so many false alarms that his cops weren't going to respond to a chronic alarm. The burglar(s) just got the word - the field is open for easy pickings if you do it the right way. Trigger the alarm time and time again and leave and make it a chronic location. Any burglar worth his salt has a police scanner. If the cops are sent again they will hear it on the scanner and disapper before the cops come, or don't come. Why take a chance. And these idiots advertise this in the newspapers.

BTW, those pricey GPS systems put in the SCPD cars in 2000 CANNOT be used for management purposes. In other words if there is a red dot on the screen at HQ placing a patrol car in the back of a firehouse for hours the supervisors cannot utilize the system to monitor they people. That is probably because the supervisors car has the same red dot for hours on end. No, my friends you can't make this stuff up.

Where were all the cars on the radar screen when SG made her call for help?

Apparently many sector cars are unfilled on the midnight shift. For example, several years ago it became public knowledge that certain communities had absolutely no coverage after 11pm - my community West Islip was one of them. 32,000 people in a 7 square mile area had no dedicated coverage after 11pm.

Thanks everyone for weighing in. Mr. PB mentioned speeders. I remember hearing about the police having an instrument that measures MPH. It registered a car driving at a high speed. It was dark out and he did not see a car go by. If my memory searves me right it happened on a few occasions and the police set up a roadblock. They caught him. He was wearing night visions. I think this was in the area of Robert Moses. Its probably a young guy playing with his new toys but I think he should be checked out. Son of Sam was caught because he got a ticket in Bklyn

Exactly why I stick to my personal safety philosophy. Cops write reports, be able to protect yourself. They can either interview you, or take someone elses word about you.

This is in addition to my post. I forgot to clarify. He was driving with no headlights on in the dark.

San of Sam David Berkowitz got his ticket for parking in front of a hydrant. Bundy got caught speeding. Just for the record.
The reason, why I said "speeding" is not that I think, LISK speeded over the causeway. But as everybody knows, I profiled him as a little standing out. He wouldn't take that risk. Everything, he's done was controlled and manipulative. And for the record again: I don't think Manorville and LISK are the same guy. However, consider this a quick drop in because someone ask for my opinion and what I give here is exactly that: MY opinion, so feel free to have another one. I'm anyway to busy to hang out here a lot.

Awww! Our loss PB ; ))

Mr.PB I know you were not making reference to the LISK when you used the word speeding. Speeding, double parking.or paking at a hydrant will get someone a tickets. Sometimes tickets lead to arrest. Thats all. Im sure LISK wont make it that easy. Would be nice though if he did. Something has to break.

not sure if any of you are following the facebook page for catch the long island serial killer but there has been a persistent poster there who has come out and said the LISK=her soon to be ex-hubby---

I think the the time-out dolls are more more than a rumour.

I first heard it mentioned here http://www.facebook.com/pages/In-Memory-Of-Megan-Maureen-Melissa-and-Amber/152704068138923

A family member was wondering who put them there.
They also mentioned the police were informed.

Then all the posts relating to the dolls were removed.

Well I finally found the discussion of the time out dolls! Proof I HAVEN'T read every thread ; ) Tsk tsk tsk after all those greasy pans!

I have a question. Can I direct you to a video on youtube along with the name of the person who uploded it if the name has never appeared anywhere?

Well if you post the link and only post the YouTube username that would be harmless.

Okay and then since it seems like only you and me awake right now I really need your help. I found a link between that youtube person with the disturbing videos who is friends with the drifter and a commercial address in MASSAPEQUA!

It looks like you can see any episode you want. All of them are escort services i would advise you not to download any torrents. You wont know what they are sharing.

Mr Brendt When it comes to serial killers, does life imitate art?

Sometimes and limited to details maybe. But otherwise, it's more, shows take parts from real cases and mix them. Criminal Minds episodes, as far as I remember them, seem to consist usually out of two sometimes three real world serial killers mixed into one.

does anyone know
a) when he lost his job? and didnt work anymore?
b) when and how he lost his leg? the date?

ps149 corrected mystery mom 7 and said that he's not been fired and he's not out of work. A lot of people indicated that he'd been fired ....I'd be interested in what the truth is.

And no one seems to know how he lost his leg, did anyone ever find out?
thanx
