help me out here please.....since she is claiming self defense I do not understand the fact that (as she says) he did not threaten her life until after she claims she shot him and as she was getting away from him....wouldn't the threat on her life have to come first in a self defense case? like before the gun shot (so she says)? If you shoot someone, then get away then they threaten your life with the "f'n kill you b..." why not just leave?? This all makes no sense to me when claiming self defense.....someone please help me understand this....why does she keep insisting that he said "f'n kill you b....." AFTER she is getting away? am I making any sense??

Your questions and difficulty of making sense of the scenario Jodi has given is bc what she has claimed thus far does not make sense and could not have happened. Assume everything that comes out of her mouth, testified to by RS and presented as fact by the DT as nothing but lies,lies,lies and BS.

It's not that strict. Often there is lingering. Anita Richman lingered when she was there and caught the infamous throat grabbing JA did.

Someone posted this Tawni Dilly YT vid last week ( sorry can't remember who!) but look at the 24 sec mark. Mitigation lady has papers hanging over rail while talking to Jodi's relatives and certainly looks like her mum( going by shirt she wore) is reaching for them.

I don't think Kiefer had anything to,do,w the ribbons. And I confronted him on that snide tweet. He later gave up his seat for me which was nice. He's nice but burnt. Imo

She claims as a result of previous abuse, she feared for her life. She claims he previously choked her unconscious, and having reflected on the incident she realized how close she was to death. He also kicked her ribs and hand and it hurt really bad. She had never seen him look so angry as when she dropped the camera 5 inches from the ground. More so than when she totaled the BMW.

The gun just went off, she never meant to shoot him. She figured he would stop when she did so because if someone pointed a gun at her, she would stop. The "f*cking kill you b" is her way of further illustrating how she perceived her life being threatened, and justifying the actions for which she has no memory.

thanks for responding, I understand all of what you are saying....but it seems to me that it would have made more sense for self defense if she stated that the "f'n kill you bi...." was said to her after the camera drop...I mean, you shoot someone in the head I am thinking you got one up on them to just leave...she keeps insisting that "it was a threat to her life"...after she shoots him in the head?? do you guys remember the court representative (or jail person? I cannot recall his exact position) that got up and addressed the fact that Arias could not go places where she could not be monitored?? (and judge told him that they would clear out the court room if necessary?)

I bet this guy would be a good person to ask (or inform) about Arias and her note passing and pill popping.

I have wondered if JA secretly taped TA in phone sex on May 10 and then threatened to use it to scare potential girlfriends away or expose him to church people later in May. This could have prompted the texts from TA to JA on May 26 when he calls her a sociopath and "worst thing that ever happened to me."
Here is my question: maybe TA researched whether taping without consent is legal in CA and once he found it is not (I think that is correct although I am not sure it is true if the person being taped is in AZ) he called her (early AM calls on June 2nd?) and threatened to report her to law enforcement ( or get his PPL attorney to sue her etc.). This then sent her over the edge.... She heads to AZ and calls him On 6/3 saying she will drop by with her Helio phone (the one she had replaced by insurance unbeknownst to him after the one with the recording was lost/stolen/HIDDEN) to prove to him she has erased the phone sex recording.... He is relieved and lets her in and horror follows.

I have often wondered what she intended to do with that tape.

Whatever she did that hurt Travis hasn't been made public, to my knowledge. Travis didn't seem like the type of guy to retaliate as you speculate. Friends said he didn't even seem that upset when she slashed his tires twice in a row. He just...forgave and forgot, I guess.

But let's say she did give someone that tape and he intended to complain she violated California's recording law that requires the consent of every party.

There is no date or time on the recording. Jodi had only recently moved from Arizona, where any party to a conversation can record it. She would simply say she taped it while in Arizona. On the tape she asks, "You're coming up here before Cancun?" but she never says where "here" is. It could be anywhere, up the street or up the block.

But I doubt that ever crossed his mind. Once the cat is out of the bag, so to speak, what good would it do him to report Jodi to anybody? Mimi Hall testified that he felt 'unworthy' (or a similar term) but didn't know what he was referring to. Nor would giving him the phone provide any reassurance; she could have recorded it on another tape recorder and kept a dozen copies.

One of Travis' sisters said Jodi was like a drug to him; he really liked the sex. In the history of mankind, is there any story older than that?

My first few scared me to death. Wavy sparkly things going on at the grocery store to the point I couldn't see well to navigate. But the doc said "not to worry." But they sure beat those knife-in-the-brain cookie-tossing porcelain hugging versions from days past.

The gospel according to JA:

- the gun went off accidentally, I didn't mean to shoot him, I didn't think it was loaded...
- I didn't think he was shot, there was no blood

She also says something about the look on his face, but I can't remember the timing.

Her convenient lack of memory starts just after the f'ing kill you lie/line.

FWIW, there have been posts here on this thread and another that the DT is not vigorously pursuing the DV claim, but rather trying to build an argument to allow a lesser charge of manslaughter (the gun accidentally went off, I didn't mean to kill him).

I need a lawyer's help with this one, but if I understand things correctly, the DT or the prosecution would have to request this of the judge and the judge would have to rule to allow the lesser charge for deliberation. The judge would make the decision based on the evidence; she already ruled against 2nd degree.

ITA. I've had migraines since the 5th grade & have been hospitalized for some severe ones. I see a neurologist and have tried many many medications. Imitrex is wonderful--too bad they didn't have it during all the years I was suffering! I saw Jodi take the pill--while it COULD be an Imitrex, I seriously doubt it. Medication would be administered to her by a deputy--just like her lunch.

Also, when she took the pill I did not notice any signs of distress--a migraine is severe pain and nausea--there would be no drawing, writing, whispering, etc. I look horrible when I have a migraine--pale skin, dark circles--really sick.

I think that the "mitigation specialist" or whatever that inappropriate freakshow lady is (with her 2 ft earrings, low cut blouses, drinking from 2 beverages, chewing gum and rolling her eyes and smirking when Juan is up to bat) is the prime suspect if a pill was passed to Jodi.

I'm the exact same way! I didn't have medication when I was younger, either. I was never hospitalized, but I remember lying in the bathroom floor at my parents' house, on the cool tile, because it was the only place without a window and the EXCRUCIATING light that came through.

There's no way she would be whispering in her attorney's ear or drawing her eBay horses or concentrating on ANYTHING but getting relief for her symptoms!

Hope you are getting some relief now, BTW. Migraines are HORRIBLE!

Oh completely agree with the poor timing in which she says he said that to her. I'm pretty sure if I got shot in the head and was still alive I would probably say something similar to whoever shot me.

It would have made more sense if she said that after he body slammed her, she struggled back up and he was grabbing at her. She was able to knee him in the groin and start running down the hall.At this point he says "f*cking kill you b" and she then goes into the closet for the gun.

As a migraine sufferer, I must agree. Unless it's mixed with caffeine (like a BC or Stanback) and taken immediately when I feel it coming on, aspirin doesn't help at all. Neither does ibuprofen or Tylenol. I have to take half a prescription Imitrex.

It's hard for me to hide it when I have one, too. JA would show obvious symptoms. Rubbing her head, shielding her eyes from the light (which is HORRIBLE.) She's lying about her migraines just like she's lying about everything else.

If she's going to lie about it, she should at least FAKE IT better! :twocents:

When I got migraines, long ago before Imitrex, I treated them with aspirin (and it had to be aspirin, not Tylenol or ibuprofen). That's how my father treated his, and his mother treated hers. However, taking one was useless. We're talking lots of aspirin round the clock over several days.

I've had ocular migraines w no pain. There are no "pills" to correct it and is passes in minutes. She has silent migraines as much as she has motionless "shaking like a chihuahua". IMO (not meaning to take this out on you btw)

RS had to be told to look out for the 'shaking'...that speaks volumes. If he had already interviewed her there should have been SOME emotional response to her story to even further cooberate her PTSD.

He should not have to be told about it or have to 'look' for it.

Yeppers!!! She takes a white paper out from under her jacket and hands it to mom. How do these court people not catch this crap?? You'd think there'd be a court guard watching the family, as well. Seems like all this stuff is just swept under the rug.
Maybe all these snippets will make their way to someone who gives a carp and wants to take this seriously.
I'm not jumping on the "conspiracy" bandwagon, but if all this paper passing were OK, why not just hand it to them?? I'll assume it's not.

Like someone else posted, we'll probably see it for sale on EBay.
