Penalty Phase - Verdict Watch

I will not watch anymore JA interviews. That's what she wants - an audience so she can be the centre of attention and also to continue lying about and trashing TA.

Boycott all media that interviews that psychopathic murderer!

Shame on the Arizona court for lifting that ban on media interviews.

Shame on the DT for continuing to allow their client to trash the victim (and yes I believe the DT condones these recent interviews)

Put that psychopathic liar of a murderer away so nobody will ever hear her lies and bs again. Enough already! :stormingmad:

Give her the death penalty so she'll be hidden away from everyone. It will also protect prison guards and inmates from her psychopathy.

Woke up this morning so clear that the mirderer's performance yesterday will NOT save her. Death by tomorrow from the jury.

Actually more angry at her than ever and further aware of her long time danger to society.

Um, yeah... He told her NO. Are you serious? Ok, so explain your comment at least.
You are basically saying that Travis somehow provoked her into BRUTALLY murdering him...
That is ridiculous, and while you are entitled to your opinion, unless you can back up your statement, it seems inadequate to a lot of us here.

There is no doubt in my mind something triggered the murder. Would she ever do it again? Who knows. Is she afraid to speak her mind? No, she has no filter. Do I think TA had something in any way to do with precipitating his murder? Yes I do.

Wow. That is the same argument as saying a woman who was raped shouldn't have worn that skirt, or that much make-up, or smiled at someone in the grocery store. Worse, you're basing this opinion on the word of the murderer! Really?

Wilma insinuated the same thing using TA's harsh words in the last email and it was disgusting. Jodi ADMITTED she had previously threatened TA she was going to "tell" all to TA's church so, if she had threatened to reveal the phone sex tape at his church that might provide much needed context for that email. Perhaps you've never had a dysfunctional relationship and TA WAS ending it.

:banghead:

Totally. She acts like she's going to go to prison and be mother Teresa. Let's see: did she ever donate her hair before she went to jail? Did she ever tutor the illiterate? Teach Spanish? Take up recycling/save the earth efforts? Did she ever give a rip about DV victims before she "became" one in 2010 or donate money to DV charities or any charities at all? No. Before she went to jail she chose to use whatever talents or qualities she had for evil and for manipulation. She's not even a model prisoner NOW.

And I agree she made a better case for the DP than life for this jury that clearly has her number. Jodi made it sound like she was going to have quite the full life in jail, even if she isn't going to spend Christmas with her family anymore or be able to have children. This jury may be thinking about all the good Travis still wanted to do and will never get to and decide she should not have the opportunity. Her little Jodi show presentation was...idk...laughable? She had like 50 pictures and even managed to throw in some glamour shots, as did Willmott. I couldn't understand what they were trying to accomplish. Jodi is too pretty to kill?

The talking out of both sides of the mouth re: her family was just laughable too. On hand, spare me for my sweet family, look at all the family portraits we took, look how close we all are, my family has been here everyday supporting me, etc...On the other hand, I as abused (how?), neglected, etc. How was she abused? She got grounded. Her mom turned her attention to her infant children. GMAB. The jury already knows she deserves what punishment she got from her parents for being a brat. I just don't get it. Casey Anthony's sob story was way better than Jodi's, lol. I gotta say, her family, from the outside, looked downright wonderful. She seems to have had good parents and a good childhood and a close family. Much better than Travis's childhood. It was all so bizarre. But they really have nothing to work with.

You SOOO freakin nailed that! And I woulda said the same thing had I had the patience/time to type that much. That was awesome and TOTALLY correct. You get the Gold star for today! lol

I can say for once, and ONLY once lol that I agree with DD. I don't want her out there in prison serving a life of her own fulfillment with other inmates. OMG! How dangerous could that be? And why in the hell should her life be fulfilling? She is in prison! IT IS A PUNISHMENT! That means no outside contact, no media, no nothing! Why should your life matter Jodi? You didn't give Travis that chance... Mercy? Grace? You can define those words from a book all you want but you have NO idea what they mean. UGH! Like I said, give me a plane ticket and a hypodermic, and this all ends tomorrow. lol

May I join you? Can we do cutdowns? (I'm old fashioned)

Although im typically glued to all trial coverage, I had no desire to watch. any of her interviews. She's washed up in my eyes.

I agree, MeeBee. She showed the jury photos of the family together in Hawaii! That sounds like a fun vacation! How did that help her?! JA was in tears while talking about her sister being born. I suspect that she considers that to be a great, big traumatic event in her life. Her mother abused her because she dared give her new little baby most of her attention. I think, JA, still remembers that period in her life with a lot of resentment and rage. Even back then JA must have been a girl from hell.

"I don't want to hurt people anymore, that's not really my attitude."

Just finished the abc interview, and this statement is so out there, so selfish, so freaking false!

Switching from coffee to Pepto and Ibuprofen. I think I have a really nasty JABS virus...

Jodi acts like this was all karma. It was supposed to happen so she could be a savior for the prison system.

I can't wait for her to check into the 'General Population Hilton'. Book clubs, recycling programs indeed! Yeah right. Right after morning spa/meditation sessions.

:floorlaugh:

Jodi Arias ‏@JodiAnnArias1 8h Please pray for the jury that they will come to a decision they can be at peace with.

Another twitter acct? :scared:

Is it just me or does Jodi have a mustache?

I noticed that too!

Fast forward ten years. I imagine her being dragged out into the light for her manacled weekly stroll in the prison yard. She squints through thick glasses.

She has a unibrow, a mustache, sallow skin with crowsfeet around the eyes. She has developed deep Howdy Doody lines going from nose to edges of her mouth, whatever bone structure she may have once had camouflaged by acne scarring from the terrible diet and her persistent habit of squeezing pimples until they become boils. Nevertheless, she bends over to whip her scraggly salt and pepper hair so that the greasy clumps have some volume as she walks by the slitholes behind which wild and rheumy eyes follow her and minds darkened by boredom shriek "JODI JODI JODI JODI." Her new audience? No, her eyes never leave the 50-something burly prison matron who escorts her to the exercise yard.

"You have extraordinarily delicate feet for a powerful woman, you know. Has anyone ever told you that before? You know I'm an artist and I would be glad to do a signed portrait of your feet--I'm very good with hands and feet--all I need is a pencil and paper....and if you didn't want it you could sell it on eBay ----"

'SHUT YOUR PIE HOLE MS. AIRY FAIRY. WE AIN'T BUYIN' THAT B**SH** HERE."

Count on it. Those guards are waiting for Ms. I-DEMAND-MAKEUP.

Although im typically glued to all trial coverage, I hano desire to watc.h any of her interviews. She's washed up in eyes.

Don't watch them, just a waste of time, unless like me you somehow are curious about watching a human being being that looks normal - be scary. The videos will make you mad b/c she is still trying to manipulate and control. Heck, in each one she even hints at getting interviews in the future by saying things like "I don't think I can answer that right now", "I am in the middle of it, I don't know who I will be when I get some time away from it, some perspective, then I can answer that question". Those are paraphrased quotes, but you get the idea.

JA's speech to the jury was one of the strangest and most bizarre things I've seen in my life. Championing this and that cause. Recycling, tutoring, donating hair etc. What? Does this woman understand what she did? She is basically saying 'Nothing wrong with me. Nothing really wrong with what I did. Okay, it was a mistake. Let's move on. I don't belong in prison but since I'll be there I might as well help others. I am so great after all.'

Does JA understand what rehabilitation means? She acts like there is nothing to restore! Does she understand what reforming of character is all about? We don't send criminals to prison so that they'll act in place of Mother Teresa! Each and every one of them needs help! It's like asking patients in an asylum to please help others become sane again!

Willmott's point about JA already thinking about the future and what she can do is just ridiculous! She shouldn't be moving on! She is supposed to think long and hard about what she did. For years! She is supposed to think about what is wrong with her. She is supposed to ask for help. For serious help.

The whole speech and closing were just insane. Willmott and JA made a much better case for the death penalty than our brilliant JM. We can at least thank them for that.

Don't you think this brutal murder was more than a mistake? A mistake is putting your right shoe on your left foot or letting your sister color your black hair blonde.

How in the heck stupid does the murderer and her DT think the jury is?

And all these interviews are simply file footage for the TV stations when she gets the needle!

And morning Rose. :scared:

You know what Jodi? Let me tell you what 99% of the public would be at peace with... Your freakin death. We ALL wanna watch you walk down that long hall, to that lil white room with one window and a hospital bed, and you lay down, and for just ONCE in your life STFU! You know what most of us are at peace with? Sentencing your long winded, over inflated, arrogant, presumptuous *advertiser censored* to death! Please go away. You are only special in your own mind. WE ALL HATE YOU! WE REMEMBER TRAVIS! You know, that poor man that you brutally murdered? You can pray all you want. God doesn't hear those who have no clue how to ASK FOR FORGIVENESS you stupid girl! Please die twice, once for Travis and once for all of us who HATE you! And shut up while you do it!

JA's TV interviews are just file footage for the media to use when she gets the needle.

Thank you Mrs but how do we stop this happening in Australia? We have a child court process re. Daniel Morcombe and I don't want some commercial TV station talking about this act of child crime. Ok next case is Allison Baden-Clay.

I do not ever want to hear anything before her family or her Daughters it will be explained at a later time and not by MSM.

Commercial networks are not for the victims and thank goodness we don't have them here. Yet,

So rev. From this goes to Az. OMG

Our suppression orders would never allow it .. also I can't see a day when we would have cameras in the courtroom or live streamed trials. I actually think that is a shame because I like the American system of open justice, it seems more in line with the idea of democracy. You'd be shocked by the Sunshine Laws in Florida where everything released to the court is also released to the public including the police interviews, jail visits, public tips, letters to inmates, the lot. I guess it's just personal preference at the end of the day.
