Nothing, the defense is doing this as a diversionary tactic and is going to make it all about JG and not JY.

Mother of dead 14-year-old files petition against husband

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Court documents obtained by WDRB News are shedding new light on the family life of a 14-year-old boy whose body was found behind Liberty High School.

Amanda Campbell, the mother of 14-year-old Trey Zwicker, has taken out a domestic violence petition against her husband, Joshua Gouker.

Among other things, it indicates that Gouker talked his ex-wife into committing suicide last year, and is "under suspicion of the murder of my 14-year-old son."

I hate it when defense attorneys put things in that are totally irrelevant.

Reminds me of the Arias case all over again.

Judge told me juror questions aren't the norm, at least not in his court. But he said the defense requested it. And it is allowed.

How long were Amanda and JG married after he got out of prison? Did they remarry or were they still married because he never signed the divorce papers.

I am trying to understand why JY's uncle said that Trey and JY were close friends when they hadn't been around each other for that long. Confused. Didn't JG just gained custody of JY a couple of months before this happened?

I believe they were still married. I think JY's relatives will try to say/show that the boys had a close, friendly relationship. As if no one has ever killed a close friend?

I want to know if Trey was down at Cassie's house all the time with Josh because JY didn't come to Amanda's house much it seems.

What did they do together.........were they inseparable friends? Somehow I highly doubt that. Most kids like to play video games so that doesn't show me they were good friends.

Interesting that they would proceed if this is the situation.

I'm not sure I can watch this whole trial. I feel so bad for the life this kid has had. I'm so torn. If he were indeed a part of this, letting him walk would be no better than the judge that gave his Dad custody. If he were to hurt someone else, people would be up in arms. But the Dad sounds so intimidating I'm not sure they could blame the kid for not doing what his Dad says.

I just pray, regardless that he gets some help!!!

Another opinion I have is that the court needs to start paying better attention to BOTH parents when custody is considered. Trey's Dad seems to have his head on much better than his Mother. I'm seeing more and more addicted Mothers with custody and Dad's with their hands tied. JMO

I am not liking this Amanda as a mother either. To have an abortion to get revenge is just a horrible excuse. jmo

I am also so done with these lawyers questioning her, it makes no sense. I can't see how it is helping or hurting Joshua. imo.
