So sad...was just watching the news and they're talking about an unsolved murder here in Des Moines from a little over 2 years ago. Ashley Okland...a real estate agent who was shot during an open house. I knew her fiance at the time. Heartbreaking.

Not to my knowledge...it's considered a cold case as of right now. Seems ridiculous in such a small city like Des Moines! I just don't understand.

I found it interesting that JVM is promoting her book big time on CMJA. Shanna hogan's book comes out 9/2/13. Shanna has been researching her book for 5 years. I think I will read Shanna's book and be done. Hope it is very hot where CMJA is and is going.

I found it interesting that JVM is promoting her book big time on CMJA. Shanna hogan's book comes out 9/2/13. Shanna has been researching her book for 5 years. I think I will read Shanna's book and be done. Hope it is very hot where CMJA is and is going.

Not interested in JVM's book. I can only imagine her book was written with the CAPLOCK button on because she yells so much on her show so I feel like she would write like that too.

I was thinking the same thing. Shanna has researched this much longer and really got the back story. That is what I would like to read.

Maybe CMJA will add the book to her book club of the month. :floorlaugh:

goodmorning everyone! i hope you all had a nice weekend. i'm cleaning the house today, throwing something in the crock pot (not sure what but i got a crock pot pizza recipe that uses bisquick and will be easy for my 2 year old to eat so i'm gonna try that) and wait for the sneiderman verdict!

IMO, its too early for a book to come out which will shed new light on the relationship, the murder and the trial. There just has not been enough time to research the evidence and interview the right people. JVM appears to be relying on HLN, the trial and interviews with guests on HLN shows. From what I can gather, Hogan's interviews were limited to Travis's family and friends.

There is so much evidence that was collected that was not presented in the trial. The trial itself did raise a lot of questions, with testimony that did not jive. One example would be the nude pictures time stamped June 4th. A lot of people question that and CMJA did protest the date in her interview with Flores. In court, two camera memory cards were shown, but no testimony was offered with respect to what was found on one of those cards. This is the kind of information I want to learn about from a book.

Much of what CMJA and ALV said can probably be refuted by using evidence in a timeline. Juan Martinez did something like this when he used journal entries and texts to dispute CMJA's version of the alleged pedo incident on January 21 and the strangulation event on January 22. Both the times and content of these communications are not consistent with the alleged events.

So for me, I will wait and give it time for someone to properly research before publishing a book on this sad, sad case.

As far as the photos on the bed JA's hair is brown in those pictures so they had to have been taken on June 4th. Except for that day, the whole time Jodi knew Travis her hair was bleached blond.

Also I'm still not convinced there were two memory cards because there is only one in evidence which was presented in court. One investigator testified the card was in the washer when it was retrieved. The second investigator to testify said the card was in the camera when he received it. So it's unclear. Did the first investigator put the card in the camera before handing it over to the second investigator?

Lammy. I'll correct my error. The memory card that was shown in court did not belong to Travis's camera. It is the wrong size, color and shape. IIRC, it was Melendez who testified that the images show in court were obtained from the memory card extracted from the camera. So the question becomes why was the blue memory card shown as an exhibit in court and what was on it?
