I've posited, as have others, that the family likely knows, which explains why they aren't screaming from the mountaintops for help, clues, information. It's just so very sad. I can't imagine their pain, whatever the circumstances.
Thanks so much for the reminder. I had thought I heard or read that, but wondered after watching the Youtube report. If anyone is interested, it's a Crime Chat video. Just search Abbie Flynn and Crime Chat and you'll get it. I found it useful in that the reporter went to the area and walked one...
Continuing to hope for news on Abbie.
Does anyone know if her dog is missing as well? I had thought from earlier news accounts, that her dog was at home, along with her phone and keys.
I watched a Youtube report recently, which implied that it could not be confirmed that she left her dog at...
I am very sorry that you've lost your friend. I continue to hope for closure for all of Abby's loved ones. It must be grueling not knowing what became of her. I have to believe that LE continues to follow all leads and agree, too, with others about the possible abduction case not long after...
It's incredibly insulting to read that it's unknown if foul play is involved in finding a human skull fragment that has washed ashore.
Perhaps it is noted this way because of the possibility that it is an accident.
But last time I checked, fragments of a human skull aren't usually self-inflicted,
So, she may have been considering becoming a midwife in her retirement years? Makes sense given she was a nurse. And it’s been reported that she was an avid baker.
She was making plans, one could assume.
I hope what happened to her comes to light.
And I continue to hope that she is OK.
It is worrisome, especially for those who live in the area. I continue to sadly believe Abbie’s family knows what happened to her. Perhaps if folks emailed the local reporters asking for an update, the story will regain traction?
I did say that it was my personal opinion and added that everyone grieves differently; acknowledging that just because the family has not spoken out (I never said they should be begging) doesn’t prove anything. But I do believe that LE would be actively seeking information if there was an...
This goes back to what I posted a couple of weeks ago.
Just my opinion, but I believe that the silence means that the family and LE ‘know’ what happened to Abbie.
Otherwise, there would be desperate pleas from the family for help and from LE for tips.
Again, JMHO, but that is how I would imagine...
I thought he was found about a week later - my mistake.
But my point is that he was found.
And given the similarities of the terrain, ocean front location, I believe that if Abbie was down in the area, she would have been found by now.
It’s just so awful and bewildering.
I neglected to add...Mr. Beard lived close to The Bluffs in Montauk - a cliffside community. He didn’t end up in the water. Not proof of anything, but amazing parallels IMHO.
I have to imagine that LE looked into this case, but without a report confirming that they did, it leaves me unsettled.
When this celebrity of sorts went missing in the Hamptons in a wooded area, I could not stop thinking about Abbie. True, he had dementia and wandered off in confusion, but he...
So unsettling - how could LE not provide an update on Abbie’s disappearance?
There needs to be a cracker jack reporter out there who wants to pursue this.
If I was still reporting, I’d be all over this.
I’ve asked local publications I’ve worked for to assign someone, but to no avail.
They...
