I don't think it does. I thought the same thing at first, but when I zoomed in to see if it said "LL Bean" or whatever it looks like an editing slider left on there by the FBI digitially zooming and enhancing the image. My eyes ain't what they used to be even with reading glasses, but I think it...
All of the witnesses who have spoken to the media--including the TA who "locked eyes" with the shooter--have stated that it was unintelligible. Whether that means it was a nonverbal scream or roar of rage or whether the shooter intended to articulate words but was muffled by the mask or...
I wonder if Ella Cook was the main target, if this was the case. Stalker? She was clearly a beautiful and magnetic young woman. I hope police are looking into this angle. Domestic violence (which includes stalking) is a key predictor of mass violence...
I hope they are looking at people who:
Have a grudge against the school.
Knew the victims or other people in that specific classroom.
Demonstrate a desire for infamy.
Have knowledge of surveillance enough to avoid capture of their image.
ETA: I think the shooter is hiding in plain sight. JMO
Shades of Moscow with an unsolved, high-profile multiple murder happening right before the holiday. Sigh. These poor kids.
I saw a photo yesterday of a professor giving "free mom hugs." (I can't find it now.) That would be me right now, heaven forbid it ever happens at my campus--but let's be...
Wow! What a wonderful young person! I'm sure his family is already beyond proud of his academic acheivements, but on top of that he's an empathetic, calm-under-pressure hero, too.
From the article:
While some students escaped through the side doors at the bottom of the classroom, others...
From the reports available at this point from the students and TA in the classroom, it was not intelligible. My thought is had it been some kind of known extremist slogan or an epithet towards a target in the classroom, they'd have some idea of what he said, but who knows. Perhaps it was just...
Totally agree. I mean, that already happened in this case, too, with even the sitting president repeating that there was a suspect in custody. Then a photo/video of an unrelated person cuffed by a police car with two officers made the rounds on social media as well.
We're so eager to see...
Ok, here is a Brown professor confirming this info. She is an economics professor and the classroom attacked was a final exam review session being taught by one of her TAs.
“Rachel Friedberg, a Brown economics professor, said the mass shooting happened in a review session for the final exam of...
I work at a private university about the same size as Brown in terms of total students (they have more undergrads, we have more grads) and we have to badge into every single building every single time - with the one exception of the main library where you have to check in at the entrance. We’re...
The university rep and police rep both said they didn't know/couldn't say what was going on the classroom where the attack occurred; however, NY Times is reporting it was "a final exam review session for a large economics class."...
Yeah, real fertility treatments cost hundreds to thousands of dollars per round, depending on what treatment you are doing. It's not like, a single a $35 pill you take once a month. It's pretty involved. Most people can't afford it without good insurance.
