    Canada - Barry, 75, & Honey Sherman, 70, found dead, Toronto, 15 Dec 2017 #2

http://http://frankmag.ca/2017/12/what-happened-to-the-shermans/ If this is true (that they arrived home separately) and still had coats on, and that they're investigating her vehicle and that she was killed elsewhere, I would guess she was ambushed and killed in the garage. Or is it possible...

    Deceased/Not Found Canada - Alvin, 66, & Kathy Liknes, 53, Nathan O'Brien, 5, Calgary, 30 Jun 2014 - #26

Just a couple of questions and a comment... 1. I keep thinking about DG's research...especially him researching something about the amount of force required to cause brain damage. I find it curious he was looking up that in particular, rather than the amount of force required to kill. Is...

I think there was a struggle outside as well, and I think the hand weight/barbell was used to subdue somebody. Perhaps one of the victims tried to use it against Garland (creating the bruise on his knee) and he bludgeoned them with it instead? Although I kind of don't want to know, I suspect...

His mother basically said they stayed out of his business (and office), given that he was an adult...and I'm assuming he locked all that in the office anyway. I'm more surprised that his parents didn't comment on the amount of mail order packages he must have received...you'd think they'd...

Thanks for the quote... It's hard to be able to tell from tweets what was actually said in testimony versus what a reporter infers and tweets, but I guess we'll see. As for CLC, that was what Augustana used to be called. Bible was never part of the name. And it was stated in this article...

A couple of things I'm wondering about: Where in testimony did someone say all three had been killed at the farm? (I might have missed that.) I have always suspected that the police had pretty good evidence that Kathy was either mortally wounded or killed in the house, because IIRC, the Amber...

I wonder whether the fact that he chose a relative's property could indicate that he wasn't thinking straight/according to a "plan"-- why choose somewhere with a connection to you to dispose of a body? That doesn't make sense to me.

Wouldn't the police tell the family if there had been sexual violation or if that's part of the investigation? (I don't know - I'm asking.) The sister is saying she doesn't understand why HDB was taken from the house and then killed...if HDB had been violated, I don't think AB would phrase it...

Given that quote from the sister, I would therefore assume this wasn't a sexually motivated crime.

Swedie, I see what you're getting at here, but I'm curious why you seem so convinced that DS was acting on the orders of "someone else"...? Having seen no evidence to the contrary, I'm inclined to believe he acted alone, but I'd be interested to know what brought you to your conclusion...

Fair enough to look at gaps in the system - I don't disagree, although knowing that he was able to attempt suicide is sufficient for that purpose - not so much the method used, I think. As for your second statement, I don't think that discussing the method (hanging, jumping, banging his head...

Does it really matter what method he used? There may very well be more going on here than we realize. What matters now is whether he lives or dies, and whether the families are able to get some of the answers they need. I come from a small town, and a few years ago we had a situation where...

And this from a CBC reporter on Twitter...apparently it was self-inflicted:
