    Who knows! But arrange marriages usually involve more than the bride/groom. We are missing a lot of info, like if this situation is mail order bride rather than arrange by the families.

    True! But I'm hung up on the arrange marriage part so i'm willing to give grace that she's not just a 'scammer'.

    The police account of what might have happened still is not clicking with me atp. If she were indeed in the country before why scam to get a free trip to America this time? Just thinking out loud.

    I understand that is what is reported. If she got herself out of a situation she did not wish to be in I support that.
