All these people who claim to have been in the house and noticed nothing suspicious. Chains and locks on doors wouldn't eliminate sounds... especially of an infant. So either they were tied and gagged when people were in the house or... well I don't know...

I have to believe that the FBI looked into possible suspects in their database before releasing pictures to the public. Which to me means, they didn't have this guy stored or he didn't flag as someone to look into. Which means- either they didn't really take the Russian accounts seriously, or...

The public seriously - kudos to them two. The photos get released, and suspect 1 is killed that night. 30 minutes after the lockdown is called off, a person calls in a tip and he's captured a few hours later.
