I'm not sure how good cellphone reception is out there but IMO it was too late by the time they realized how dire the situation was.

Good questions! I can only add anything to: 1. I saw mentioned in the thread that there were supposed to be other friends going but they ended up not being able to make it. 2. She's 23 and has an almost 2 year old so I don't think it's that strange.

I was confused too but she posted a new video and she means how long do the various agencies look for tax evaders, etc. but won't put as much effort in searching for missing hikers. (Just paraphrasing her mother, I think the search for Sam was more extensive than most).
