From the start this quote had me so confused... what does this even mean??!
I guess Idk the difference between "rot" & "decompose" ... what are they saying about the state of Lacey's body that's different from every other body?
Whatever exactly this rare state is, maybe it comes from something...
This story is so insane... IA with the idea that the parents must have become numb over time to how they were treating their daughter. It doesn't seem like they wanted to murder her - more like they forgot about her & then kept on "forgetting."
Was poor Lacey non-verbal? Otherwise very hard to...
Its also so weird & off how they talk about the victim ... like he was 'put in an ice bath' for 2-3 hours by his brother... would he just sit there all that time, doing & saying nothing, not trying to warm the water up or get out even tho he was mostly alone in there??
They make him sound like...
It's so mindblowing how these obvs intelligent, articulate people let themselves turn so evil against this poor boy ... & all the calculating & effort that went into it?? How did they not catch themselves in the act at least & want to stop? It's like they were blind or something....... but...
I saw this early on, that the three deceased men's cars were parked at the CS home for the two days they were missing - is this confirmed then??
if so, that's really hard to understand what was going on

A new suspect

Yeah I know
the reason it was said not to be terrorism-related was she had an Israeli flag on her wall that wasn't like torn down & set on fire or whatever. Not exactly a clincher.
If there's any chance it was a hate crime, I can easily imagine why the demographics of the neighborhood might make LE think they'd better get a warrant to get neighbors' camera footage

I just watched some of this for the first time too & came here with the exact same question!
The prosecution said she wanted to 'force Alex to admit their relationship had been a mistake,' but that doesn't make any sense. If she was done dating Alex, there's no reason she needed him to agree...
Interesting... this sounds like he may be referring to someone watching her on SM? 'knew her better than she knew them'
Or it could be a member of her synagogue/ community who knew her as leader but didn't have much personal connection to her. Not clear if this is more than speculation anyway...
Not harsh at all & no apologies to me - I agree! Just was trying to speculate on why things don't seem to be moving along as they should... but I admit I do like the idea of "trying to shelter a hurting community" more than "dropped the ball & can't get the job done" .... hopefully that's not...
The arrest announcement said the suspect knew her well & attended the same synagogue... maybe he is a community leader like she was, & they're trying to create privacy for the community to deal with the shock & upset ?
