Interesting... this sounds like he may be referring to someone watching her on SM? 'knew her better than she knew them' Or it could be a member of her synagogue/ community who knew her as leader but didn't have much personal connection to her. Not clear if this is more than speculation anyway...

Not harsh at all & no apologies to me - I agree! Just was trying to speculate on why things don't seem to be moving along as they should... but I admit I do like the idea of "trying to shelter a hurting community" more than "dropped the ball & can't get the job done" .... hopefully that's not...

The arrest announcement said the suspect knew her well & attended the same synagogue... maybe he is a community leader like she was, & they're trying to create privacy for the community to deal with the shock & upset ? JMO
