    In my opinion William and Delafield John Doe really don't look alike at all, based on pictures of William and post-mortem pictures.

    The more I think about it, the more I think Sam could be William Underhill. The only thing that throws me off is the height as Underhill was known to be very tall. The dental pictures of Sam do look like they could be Underhills teeth from what I can tell from pictures of him smiling!

    I'm not very familiar with the US and Canada, but I figured if he was on his way to a specific place in Canada, for example Montréal or Ottowa, he may have ben roughly on that path. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Montréal one of the cities that many americans ran to to avoid the draft...

    I posted this in the UID thread but I thought I would post it here too. I think this is a possibility but the thing that does throw me off a bit is the rod in the femur... But still, worth a look. If William was going to Montreal he very well may have been going through NH...
