I will say it again. Search the area where the pacifier was found. The pacifier is critical to finding her as its recovery made him run and eventually commit suicide by cop.

i believe tea time meant if he was disposing of her body, he got out of the car, and that would be where her pacifier fell out.

I think it is very possible that he dropped the pacifier and did not know it. I don't think he would have left the pacifier on purpose because they would start searching harder..

I think that it was the catalyst to him losing it.

I don't think anyone knows the answers except Matthew, and the police shot him dead. Not criticising them, but what a shame he died before Ember was found. He clearly hid her well and we may never find out what happened to her
