Way back in the beginning, several of us wondered if SP is current LEO. Even more of us asked if this murder is directly linked linked to the recent MPD arrest (Phillip Slaughter 4/15/16) at the time (3 more since the murder-I'll look for a link) as something much bigger b/c of the agencies involved in the investigation.

Is it a crime to impersonate an officer during a crime if you are a real officer? Well that is confusing. :thinking:

Could explain why so many agencies are involved? Possibly. I don't know.

Well now I am totally curious as to the word. Now, am I curious enough to search the entire thread.... LOL.

I rewatched the interview and the only word that stuck out to me was "eradicated" but the search feature turns up 0 matches on that word in the past week.

Why would the possibility of them being drunk make it more likely to be personal? I would think the opposite, alcohol being the catalyst rather than revenge/anger etc?

I think we have different conceptions of what alcohol makes people do ;-)

I'm sure its been speculated before, but the perp looks drunk to me. Deliberate steps as not to fall on their a$$. Touching the wall to get a point of reference. Leaning back, standing tall as not to tip forward. So if that's the case, did the perp get liquored up to get the courage to go kill MB or just a random weird drunk that thought it was a good idea to break into a church and got surprised. It WAS in the wee hours of the morning and the bars close, go get my fancy burglar suit on and find somewhere to rob.

I have also believed from the very beginning that the perp was tipsy~not loaded drunk, but tipsy. Liquid courage for this weak, cowardly, small, bottom dwelling poor excuse for a human being.

If there was a sticker on the Altima there is no longer one there. It's time for rational thinking. If the perp was involved with this car, in anyway, they have removed that sticker by now knowing that people are looking for one. Make sense? It does to me.

However, just because they said that "they are not suspects.." Which is true according to the police. They still are POI. Are we still not allowed to sleuth them?

Missy's family members, friends, and co-workers are off limits and not to sleuthed. They are not suspects, nor are they POIs.

Me too!! I didn't know it was a gun store, had not clue until this case. I also thought it was a sports store or some kind of business/office.

I was late to the party eyeballing the Altima. Like several posters, I thought I saw a wall at first. But I went back and read everyone else's posts and came to the conclusion that's it's yet another optical illusion in a case full of them. What may look like a wall is likely the upslope of the driveway and the upslope of the gray shoulder area, and what looked to me like the bottom of white window frames is likely the hash marks on the 287 road southbound side. The Altima is level; both sides of 287 are separately elevated, in overhead aerial photos. The southbound side of 287 is elevated above the SWFA property. JMO

I think I am in the minority here, but I don't think the perp looks drunk in the videos. I don't really see the stumbling, more just the odd gait. The dragging of hands\tools along the walls is part of what makes it so creepy to me. Like they are there just casually wasting time until MB arrives. What I see as the casual nature of it all is also what leads me to believe they knew pretty much exactly when she would be arriving.

I think that possibly their peripheral vision was obstructed by goggles and a helmet, and the too-big boots made them clumsier than usual....coupled with the gait which I think is their natural gait, but pronounced because of the boots. JMO

MOO - I think there's strong motive but obviously don't have details. It's just that it fits the classic cases of this type. I'm basing my opinion on a framework... meaning context of the case with certain classic factors involved - not any special knowledge.

I think the reason it's so tricky is because it seems like there's been a deliberate attempt on the perp/perps' part to hoodwink LE and everyone else by playing dress-up with cops and robbers gear. I haven't seen anyone say they think the perp is a cop.

Nobody can be absolutely certain except perhaps LE photography specialists what gender this bumbling, shuffling 'robocop' is.

In my latest opinion the strategy of robocop is a masculine one. Based on new points raised online by different people I've seen many in this forum shift in certainty about it being a man or a woman. There are some people on the internet with mind-blowing technical skills in regard to blowing photos up and discerning features. Thanks to them I'm now 99% sure it's a man with Schwarzenegger fantasies.

It's also interesting that a specific word used yesterday in the closed thread was mentioned in a recent interview. That gives me reason to think this forum is being read by interesting people. :escape:

I do not have the knowledge or skill set to enhance photos, however if anyone has done one from the 1:21-1:24 mark I would love to see it. I think there is a lot of information in those 4 seconds.

I don't know what the word is that you're referring to, but I find it really tacky that the editor of this news piece put in clips of Missy working out with "push-up" type movements when the topic discussed was infidelity. Seriously tacky.

Nothing wrong with those clips, but how about showing them while talking about how fit, driven, and helpful Missy was in her physical-fitness activities?

First, in the way you apparently mean that term, the ones you mention are NOT POIs.

Yes, until someone is tried and convicted, the entire world is of interest to LE to some degree. No one is formally excluded until that point.

But LE made it clear that family, friends, and coworkers were originally "POI's" in the sense that LE had an interest (the key word) in looking at them to see what they could see. They look first at those closest to the victim, to see if there's someone to suspect. BUT - they saw no one to suspect among those, and are now looking elsewhere. And they said explicitly that family is NOT the focus of their investigation, so there's that.

So when you ask "Are we still not allowed to sleuth them?" the answer from WS has been a very definite "No" (because LE has told us to look elsewhere)... and if you do so anyhow, you risk having your posts deleted and being put on timeout. We have been warned repeatedly not to go there, and some have apparently been given a break from the site. I wouldn't step over that line.

No slope. A very new building that opened maybe a little over a year ago.

I believe they are (IMO). The first is close to the main entrance doors and if you continued walking you would run into the perp on your right hand side at the end of the hall. What makes it confusing is one camera is looking up the hall and the other (where the perp is) is looking down that same hall.
