FL FL - Baby Willow, newborn, Orlando, 15 February 2016

Bumping for Baby Willow! This is my case at work (NCMEC) and we still have absolutely NOTHING....

I think this poor baby is in the landfill. and I am betting she has done it to other babies she did not want and couldn't get anyone to take. I don't know why she doesn't tie it up.

Because she would have to give birth in a hospital, sign adoption papers, etc., keeping her away from what her mental health or substance abuse problems are calling her to do. She may not know who the father is, to have his rights terminated. JMO.

i think the question was, and is if your lifestyle is risky why not have your tubes tied or an implant to make sure no innocent lives are thrown into the mess you created for yourself
she didn't have to get pregnant
and now we have another little one lost, most likely dead

Monday, April 4 - A judge ruled Richardson's medical records that day she gave birth will not be admissible in court. Police asked doctors' about Richarson's medical history instead of filing a subpoena for the records. A judge ruled medical records before Baby Willow's birth will be allowed in court.

Maybe I'm slow, but why on earth would the medical records on the day of birth not be allowed as evidence???

One year only? I don't get it.

When evidence isn't obtained the right way, it's thrown out, much like a confession would be tossed if the suspect wasn't read their rights first. The officers didn't obtain a subpoena for the records so they weren't obtained legally. If it had stood, they would have lost on an appeal most likely.

At least she won't have another unwanted baby for that year. IMO - she'll be off drugs and thinking "more clearly" during her time incarcerated - maybe she'll talk. This "buys" officials a year to find out what happened to the baby and charge her with murder too.

Oh... My emotional mind just can't take this. I go from reading about sweet little Silas to Baby Willow. This just hurts my heart. As I said about Silas I just want to go back in time and take these babies myself and show them what love is :( its always the innocents.

If there is an occurrence of childbirth, and a report to the Child Abuse Hotline is created, DCF would then have jurisdiction to investigate and intercede. To that end, we will do whatever it takes to shelter vulnerable kids from crisis and help them live a normal life free from abuse or neglect."

IIRC in my state, there was a case of a couple whose first child was beaten to death but they didn't have enough evidence to charge anyone involved. The woman had another baby about a year after the death of her first one, and DHS made it clear that she could only take the baby home from the hospital if she stayed away from the father. She didn't and a couple of months later the state took the baby, but by then she was pregnant again. The state took the baby immediately. I lost track after that.
I'm thinking if the hospital is diligent, they will call the hotline the second the baby is born, as a precaution.

Our mother of the year apparently tested positive for cocaine after her most recent birth.

I hope the baby is okay.

I haven't heard that pregnancy is all that comfortable. Why does she keep going through it if she doesn't even want the kids?

I'm honestly wondering if there is some cash payout to her that she finds appealing to have these children.

That charge should be enough to keep that baby out of harm's way.
