I really think more needs to be done to identify Fire Island Jane Doe and her toddler. I really feel like this person was likely not a sex worker and well known to the victim. I also feel that it won't be solved unless the FBI solves it. I have zero faith that Suffolk County PD at this point.

I was reading up on FIJD and the toddler. People go missing all the time and are never found or never identified if found. They can show up very far from home or not be missed by many. Many of us have never been fingerprinted unless we have a job that requires it or have been arrested. Dental records may not be kept as we'd think they are. DNA matching is a shot in the dark.

The resources of the SCPD only go so far. If the missing are not in their database, it hits a dead end. The only hope is an agency like the FBI to step in.

Please add this to your list. Likely, the most important one and forgotten.

Some of these unidentifieds could be undocumented immigrants or trafficked from outside the US.

Wasn't sure where to post this comment so I decided to post it here. I'm watching the local morning news where it was announced that one of the attorney's for the victims (I assume John Ray?) will be making a announcement today about a possible new witness in this case and new details.

Also it has been discovered that a torso that was found 20 years ago in another area of Long Island has been linked to one of the Giglo Beach unidentified remains. The torso was found in Hempstead Lakes Park the linkage was made using new DNA analysis.

Possible truck driver?! Someone also stated they think lisk works with a traveling carnival perhaps?!

I respectfully disagree, LISK is local to NYC/LI. He is very familar with the area where the bodies were found. A traveling carnival worker wouldn't be consistently in this area. The LISK killer is always in this area. Calling one victim's sister shows that he was making his calls from towers located within Manahattan during rush hour. No one but a person that works in Manahattan would want to be in mid-town during evening rush hour.

The second part of your post refers to "Peaches" torso found in 1997. I believe LE knew for a while of the link, they just sat on it.

I figured that when I heard it this morning on my local news. I don't know how to move my post to the correct thread so here it stays until an adminstrator can move it. It will be interesting to find out who this new witness the lawyer is going to announce today....

The news is explosive and it's about James Burke!!!!

A escort has gone public with accusations against James Burke and the connection with Giglo Beach....It's on my noon local news right now..

I wish I could type it word for word...

Maybe information about this story can be found at NBCNews4NY

The problem with this question is that we do not know if we are dealing with one single killer or multiple killers. I have always leaned towards the multiple killer theory. With multiple killers there increases the likelihood at least one of them will be arrested and charged. With that comes the risk that all of the victims could be blamed on the first one of the killers who are caught.

Society likes it when everything fits neatly into one perfect little package.

I agree with you that LISK is a local to Long Island and may even work in Manhattan. Ocean Pkwy and Gilgo Beach is a place he drives by frequently. Each of us can just think about where we live, and if you happen to live on Long Island even better. But, do you know every nook and cranny in your area or only the ones closest to where you live? There are places in my area that I would never know about and that's because I just never go to those areas.

If you're one that lives on Long Island did you know about Gilgo Beach or ever think someone could dump a body there before any bodies were ever found? Someone doesn't just pick a random place to dump a body. They think about it deeply and plan it out. Especially when it's this organized.

The killer is a frequent driver to the area or at least visits the area often enough for it to have been part of the plan. Just try and look at a map and say to yourself, "Where can I hide a body?" It would be very difficult to decide just by looking at a map alone. You would need to know who's in the area that might see you, is there easy access, how fast can you get away, etc.?

So... 2 killers... both locals to Long Island

However, in the case of the GB4, they were all dumped in the same section within hundreds of feet apart. Why that specific section of Ocean Pkwy? Why not spread out all over Ocean Pkwy? How did he know to stop at the same spot every time? Was there a certain landmark he looked for? To me this shows awareness and careful planning. Not just randomness.

So, if we could pick a spot from just looking at a map of where to dump a body what spot would we pick on Long Island? Maybe we should look there for more because I don't think the killings just stopped or that these are the only ones.

This is what we should do with all those people who have to do community service. Put them to work searching in the woods and off the highways.

Off topic. But if you click quote and your finding your space bar doesn't work. Start from the first space after the quote. Next to the /quote) or similar. Should work.
