GUILTY FL - Manhunt in Tampa after 4 slayings in 5 weeks, Oct-Nov 2017 #3 *Arrest*

I'm back. No annoying pop ups today!

I think there can be only three reasons he would carry the gun into the restaurant rather than leave it in his car. 1. He was paranoid that he was on the radar and didn't want it in the car if someone showed up with a search warrant. 2. Same paranoia but wanted gun on him for suicide by cop. 3. He made up his mind he was leaving town and was either carrying the gun because he was going to rob the payday loan place or the McDonald's on his way out of town.

Glad you're back!

Re #3: I have thought maybe he was considering robbing someone or a business too. It makes sense that he would be trying to get out of town and desperate for some extra cash. He was kind of stuck with that gun though. He could have thrown it in a trash can, but if someone found it then the gun could be traced directly back to him. Try to pawn it and the pawn shop would have called LE maybe. He did not plan very well for the future it would seem.

Unless he has a brain tumor or mental illness there's just no excuse for his actions.

I agree -- just sharing the "teaser" that has been in the news. I am hoping that any additional information about the circumstances might shed some light on his mindset, motive, background, etc.

I have a difficult time trying to see that mental illness did not play a part in this. I don't know the guy but from what others have said, and the fact that who in their right mind goes out and kills innocent people. Then I guess you could say that every killer has mental illness; however, some are psychopaths which is not mental illness as it cannot be cured and is there from day 1.

Good points. I'm hoping any revelations that may come out on Tuesday will provide us with some additional insight.

WOW! I hear that too! I cannot make out all of the questions and answers though! Did she put her finger into his side like it was a gun and he jumped? She is a brave lady! Like I said before, I would not have confronted him outright. I would have called in a tip which might have never been investigated...

She stresses how weird this dude was too!

I believe she is talking about the sketch they were showing her.

For those of us who are familiar with Hollywood's take on inexplicable personality changes leading to violence or dastardly deeds. . . how about these scenarios: "Manchurian Candidate," "CIA (or various other alphabet agencies) brain implant," "evil twin separated at birth," "demonic possession," "infrasound," "something in the water" etc.

I'm being a tad facetious. . . or am I???? :moo:

Did they actually have a sketch of the Seminole Heights Killer before he was caught. I thought the sketch of the man was from another murder.

I am pretty sure the sketch everyone keeps talking about is the sketch that was released in February of the suspect in the murder of Dontae Lampkins, who was shot in an alley on January 26 after getting off a bus. If I had been working with DH and recalled the sketch from the Dontae Lampkins murder, I would have been suspicious of him because the sketch looks a LOT like DH. There is no hard evidence - yet - that DH was involved with this murder, but if I was a betting woman, I would put money on it. http://www.tampabay.com/news/public...of-interest-in-seminole-heights-death/2312001

Agree. has it been said whether this victim was shot? If so, that means there's another gun.

I read the comments he made on his FB after the tons of spam re an iPad.

He many times referred to loving his mother. He spoke about God. He spoke about doing well. He spoke about challenges. He spoke kindly to his friends. He spoke of his love of basketball.

He often uses langauge that is used between friends. Slang .

Although I have to admit being on WS I have read FB posts of killers who sound so great but in real life they were horrible.

But this killer had lots and lots of friends. That is unusual with serial killers, I feel.

And his friends talked about how considerate he was, looking out for others.

It is mind blowing to watch the non chalant videos of the killer right after he killed someone. Playing with his phone. Walking with confidence. Happy go lucky.

It gives me the heebie jeebies when a person commits a heinous crime and people never in a million years would have thought he/she were capable of doing it. It makes me feel like it's impossible to ever truly know a person.

[h=1]Life in Seminole Heights: Four victims, four ways forward[/h]
Looking for direction in the lives that were lost.

James Chapin

Nov 20, 2017
I’m trying to learn the victims’ lessons instead. And the astounding thing is how much each of them has to teach us about the very moment we find ourselves in. Each one lived a life that works as a direct antidote to the fear and hate that are threatening the neighborhood.

Benjamin Edward Mitchell was working hard, going to school while holding down a job at IKEA and moonlighting as a rapper. (Long live “Eddie Banks.”) But he still made sure to spend time with his beloved aunt. That’s what he was doing on Oct. 9, the very night he was killed. When was the last time I structured my life around an aunt, an uncle, a loved one? When was your last time?

Monica Caridad Hoffa was a waitress at IHOP. She had just gotten off her shift on the night she was killed. The regulars she waited on adored her, came to her funeral. Wouldn’t have missed it. Would I have that amount of radiant positive impact at work, while bringing people hash browns and refilling coffee? Would you?

Anthony Naiboa was working at a warehouse packing supplies for hurricane relief. Good God. It’s enough to lose an innocent to mindless violence — but this kid spent his last night on earth doing charitable work. How would my last night look, if it came sooner than expected? How would yours?
The murder of Anthony Naiboa seems to make people especially angry. The 19-year-old had a mild form of autism. He had been the repeated victim of bullies and criminals in his life. On Oct. 19 he got off of the bus at the wrong stop, in an area where that had never been a dangerous thing to do. But then he was shot, and fell right in front of the house owned by Benjamin Mitchell’s mourning aunt. Yes, all of this will make you angry. But maybe that’s not a bad thing to be.
Ronald Felton was up long before dawn, like the construction worker he was. Time can be rough on 60-year-old construction workers who haven’t had a job in a while. But even if the world wasn’t always kind to him, he decided to be kind anyhow. There he was, every Tuesday and Friday morning, waiting to hand out food. Do I give like Ronald did, even when I think there isn’t much to give? Do you?
“He didn’t want anyone to be here by themselves,” said Osborne. So he walked around, patrolling the area on foot. That’s what he was doing when he was gunned down, in the middle of Nebraska Avenue
.
And whatever happens next for this neighborhood, his memory and those of the three other beautiful people who have been taken should stick with us, showing the way
.

Thank you so much, dotr.

"Felton got to the food pantry so early that Tuesday morning because he wanted to watch out for the people who would be showing up.

“He didn’t want anyone to be here by themselves,” said Osborne. So he walked around, patrolling the area on foot. That’s what he was doing when he was gunned down, in the middle of Nebraska Avenue."

So courageous of him to be out there.

Monica Hoffa, Benjamin Mitchell and Anthony Naiboa, all so young. I find they did have things in common. They exude kindness, happiness, confidence, in their pictures, and in stories about them. Through their ordeal and heinous loss, through their statements and actions, the families too seem full of light.

I tend to think the perp picked his victims randomly. So often, though, I get the impression, these kinds of creeps seem to target the kind of people whose light and goodness may be more apparent.

Same thing with the victims shot in NOCO.

What bootsctr said about why makes sense

Former FBI agent gives profile on Seminole Heights killer
http://www.abcactionnews.com/news/s...gent-gives-profile-on-seminole-heights-killer

And Fox thinks he's angry.

"He is perceiving a pattern on injustices against him. He may have been laid off work, had a girlfriend break up with him.

He feels the world is against him and he is acting out

And in a mystifying way. Fox said there are three unique aspects not typically seen:

"There's no no sexual element. A gun is the weapon of choice and all three people killed were victims of opportunity.

"That is the most extraordinary thing about this case," said Fox.

Howell Donaldson graduated from St. John’s University and majored in Computer Science. He played basketball.

He works at a McDonald's. He feels that he has been screwed over.

This suggests that Howell Donaldson is an injustice collector. Injustice collectors are rarely seen in serial killers, but can occur.

Injustice collectors are characteristics of mass killers and terrorists. Stephen Paddock, Devin Kelley, Omar Mateen, Seung-Hui Cho, Adam Lanza, Eric Harris, Elliot Rodger, and Osama bin Laden are injustice collectors.

Many female killers would be injustice collectors like Gertrude Baniszewski, Betty Broderick, Dora Cisneros, Jodi Arias, and Lori Drew.

Now this article says computer science. Gah. Which is it? Sports management or computer science? Either way if he went from college to McDonald’s I can see how he’d turn into an injustice collector from his behavior May -onward.

The arrest almost felt like a pre-arranged surrender to me. Why did the co-worker choose to look in the bag DH gave her? I know they suspected him of being the Seminole Heights serial killer, but was that the reason she chose to look in the bag and find the gun? She did not know the caliber of the gun used in the murders. Did she think this bag is heavy and what in the world is in this bag? Did he not have time to put the bag in his work locker himself?

And by the co-worker's description, he didn't put up any kind of struggle or argument. He didn't ask what the heck was going on. Why are y'all arresting me? He just accepted it. It just seemed sort of planned to me.

Sorry for rambling. Questions directed at no one in particular.

^^ 100% agree
