Even if she got into a car willingly, the ONLY reason she has not returned is if she is being held against her will or she is no longer with us. So either way it is a crime.

Exactly. Regardless how MT's contact originated, and with this passage of time, it has developed into a crime. MT is not voluntarily absent from her family, IMO.

I keep considering the idea that it was someone who knew her that took her. I read this this AM in the DesMoines Register: "As a student, Tibbetts wasn't afraid to offer constructive criticism to classmates, Diehm says. Days before she vanished, she'd reached out to a former classmate who dealt with personal issues, just to check on them." I'd like to know who it was & what their "issues" were. Could the "issues" have been such that they'd cause harm to Mollie?

What’s your opinion on the next presser? I’m thinking it won’t be until either they find Mollie or they make an arrest. Do any of you think there will be one sooner?

I found the article I was reading where the drone found missing persons and helped solve crimes. It’s linked above.

I’m all for taking a break when following this case wears on you. I’ve had to do the same thing.

First time poster...

I came to this site specifically to follow Mollie's case. I have to say I am impressed with all the thought and compassion I have seen on this (and the Watts') threads. Every time I think of something to consider, I have found it here, already being discussed.

That being said, I keep coming back to the idea of a hit and grab scenario. I can't say why that resonates so strongly with me, but it certainly does. Has that scenario been put to bed by other, more likely, scenarios? This feels stranger abduction to me, and I can't imagine any other way for a stranger to get her into a car without her causing a loud scene...

Which may not be a factor if the abduction site were isolated enough...

My head swims...I just hope for news every day. I hate the thought of this family not knowing what happened to Mollie, and it terrifies me that she may be suffering somewhere.

All JMO...
I totally agree as this is my theory as well.
Welcome :) Hoping for a break on where she is soon!!

Oh no... you guys. Report on FOX. Mollie is not alive.

Bless you all, for all your care.

RIP, sweet Mollie...I watched this thread, never feeling I had anything to add to the great sleuthing and wonderful compassion shown by posters. I thought maybe I wouldn't take it as hard if it was this sad result, not actively posting. But no...I'm in tears. Her poor loved ones and friends.
