If the phone turns out NOT to be Achim’s, PFD is gonna look soooo foolish.
If it IS Achim’s phone, PFD is gonna look shifty.

I have had 4 iPhones over the years. NEVER has my iPhone not needed charged by 24hrs at the latest, when it was on airplane mode and I wasn’t using it at all. And we’re supposed to believe this magic iPhone was still charged all these days later?! Not only that, but it was miraculously not destroyed by trains? And miraculously not picked up by anyone else, even if they kept it & sold it? Cmon, man. That would TRULY be a miracle if it’s Achim’s & still charged. IF it is Achim’s, it’s been charged somewhere. I’m hoping if it’s his, it connected with their internet, giving a super good lead.

It wouldn’t be the first time someone wanted attention, so inserted themselves into a missing persons case. Could he have planted it there or had it in his pocket, and it’s not Achim’s? LE would already know that, so I believe it’s likely Achim’s.

WHY does PFD keep adding on to his story? Now he was carrying a Bible, too?! He’s either a little nutty or telling a big fib on that.
Could I be wrong: of course. So, this is all JMO.

No evidence of foul play.

He could have left on his own. His phone was found close to some major roads that he could use to get a ride out of the city. Or he could have harmed himself. I believe that this is what the police see as likely given the bridge and water nearby

I don't really see an accident now that his phone was found.
 
Here's a link of Youtube page from a year ago. I believe this is his Youtube page. It seem like a story about someone who went missing.

Here are some ideas.
I would check his phone call history to see if any calls or text were made from his phone. Also, I would check any apps to see if any calls or text were made.
If he didn't have any communication from his phone. He may have made plans to meet someone after the bar while he was in Sams. Otherwise, I don't understand why he didn't call his dad to pick him up after he was escorted out of Sams.
It looks like he may have been around someone he trusted after he was escorted out of the club. That's why he didn't call his dad.
I would check his computers and interview his close family and friends. It could be a domestic issue.

To me, it seems to be about a young man "lost" as in passed away in a car accident, not a mysterious disappearance. MOO.

Right on......something hinky here! Also another man, Nasham Harvey, who disappeared from Vernon CT, lived in Springfield not too long ago- he lives less than a half an hour from Springfield now. Maybe not connected, but sure is strange!

Yes, if you have notifications turned on there will be a little you-have-a-message box that says who the message is from and the first few words. There can be other kinds of messages too (news updates from ESPN or news services, for instance, or notices from apps you subscribe to, etc.) You can't see the rest of the message until you log in, though.

The behavior he describes is exactly what my phone would do if it had been powered down for a while.
 
so what if AB got mugged and his phone was stolen. The mugger wants to turn the phone into cash so he looks to sell it to a fence....or maybe to someone that is known to resell phones online....who in turn realizes its importance in a missing persons case and next thing you know it's found on the tracks...

In theory, so whoever had the phone in their possession was probably nervous that it will ping to it's location and be a possible suspect.

Yeah, this happens with my phone, too. I have it set to not give any part of texts unless I unlock it. I didn’t used to protect my phone until I signed a Non Disclosure Agreement working in politics. Now, even after election, I keep the password. Because of all these problems breaking into phones when people go missing, I wrote the code down and gave it to my Mom to keep, just in case. I know she’d never use it unless a dire situation. I think it’s not a bad idea for anyone password protected to give it to someone you trust. You just never know. jmo
 
I don't know Achim, but from his pictures with a beaming smile, he seems a guy that I would like to have a beer or two with at Samuel's.

I have been hoping more information would come out so I could make a logical thought on what happened that night.

All I have is an incredibly illogical route that night which goes north and then south on the RR tracks. This is not what someone who was happy go lucky and carefree would do, in my opinion. Not on the tracks at 2AM in a city. Doesn't make sense, it is not a shortcut. This is a route you would take if you had nothing to lose and you were clearing your head.

Sometimes we get glimpses of what missing persons think, and sometimes we don't. We often don't know how people feel behind the smile. I hope this turns out well, because I want him home.

Bro I just posited this same exact scenario on one of FB pages. This phone finder dude is definitely a bit of a character but I don’t think he’s a killer. But he definitely buys and sells hot phones. This scenario is likely exactly what happened. He will likely lead LE to the killer(s).

i've believed all along this is what happened with the phone, too. that makes the most sense, and i got a strange vibe from the D character (guy who had the phone). still a curious story about his disappearance, though, being along a river and getting kicked out of a bar...AGAIN. (IF you believe the conspiracy theory). is there a list compiled (or a thread) of how many of these kids have gotten kicked out of bars/"landed themselves" dead in rivers? it's all very spooky and strange to me.
