The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner released the report Thursday and also found Vong had abrasions along his neck, on his face, arms and foot, and bruises on his legs and back.

ETA.. I do not believe you can bruise on your legs or back after you are deceased. Your blood is not flowing to do so.

An autopsy report made public on Thursday revealed that Jordan Vong, the 7-year-old who was found dead in his own home after he was reported missing in August, died of cervical compression and blunt force injuries.

Vong also had cuts on his ear, torso and arms as well as bruises on the back of his legs, according to the autopsy report. The medical examiner also found a "deep soft tissue hemorrhage" in the right submandibular [neck] region.

Exactly. I was afraid of this. It seemed like she was lying and minimizing what happened, to cover up the violence she was guilty of. I hope she is locked up for a long time.

8/13/18 Update: Denver District Attorney’s Office said Monday that the girl, who was not immediately identified by name, is being charged on suspicion of murder in the first-degree after deliberation and child abuse resulting in death.
8/14/18 Update: Jennie Bunsom will be tried as adult. Charged with 2 counts of 1st degree murder: Charged with first-degree murder after deliberation and first-degree murder by a person in a position of trust (victim under the age of 12). While Bunsom's juvenile hearing is still scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, the district attorney's office said her appearance will be waived and the juvenile case will be dismissed in light of the adult direct filing. Next hearing is 8/16.
8/16/18 Update: Defense attorneys requested Bunsom be appointed a guardian ad litem, meaning someone to investigate what would be in the best interest of the child. No parents or family members were present in the courtroom. Next Status hearing on 12/13 for case #D692017JVD847 in Juvenile court.
8/18/18 Update: Hearing on Advisement today in Adult Criminal court, 8/24. Criminal Adult case #D162018CR20007
8/24/18 Update: Judge will decide whether she will face adult or juvenile court. A reverse transfer hearing & preliminary hearing in the case scheduled to begin Jan. 28 next year. A defense motion to appoint a guardian ad litem who will decide what Bunsom’s best interests are was also granted. At January’s reverse transfer hearing, Bunsom’s attorneys will be able to challenge prosecutors’ decision to direct-file adult charges against Bunsom in front of a judge and discuss her emotional and mental well-being. The judge would then decide if the case should be sent back to juvenile court or if Bunsom will continue to face the adult charges in district court. Hearings for criminal charges scheduled for 1/28/19, 1/29, 1/30, 1/31 & 2/1 all at 8:30am.

Good points on the differentiation. I was just hesitating by them saying

The reports we have seen said that there are biological fluids in addition to blood out of his nose. That reinforces that he was crying at the time perhaps as it was mucus from his nose from crying? I just can't fathom.

Ugh I hate to discuss this. A head injury can cause cerebral fluid to leak from the nose

Bunsom also has a status hearing on June 11 in Denver County-Juvenile court. In an updated article the motion hearing had been scheduled for May 20.

I'm not clear on whether or not the May hearing was delayed to June or if it was held today with an additional one in June. If it was and Bunsom has a status hearing next month then what exactly does that mean?

What does it mean - ? I believe the May 20 to 24th was rescheduled for the June dates, otherwise they wouldn't have have THAT many days in a row. At least that's what it seem to me!
