I’ve never met this “someone” you refer to, but I don’t mind contacting them!

I was reading through “Bill’s” thread and it looked like there were one or two more missing girls mentioned as possibilities. I didn’t see them on the exclusion list though...is there anyone else I should mention while I’m at it? I know there was one (Mungia...possibly? I can’t recall her name without going back to the thread) who seemed like a pretty good match.

If anyone can think of someone else just let me know and I’ll contact them tomorrow!

ETA: Maria Florence Anjiras...was the other one who stood out to me...

It’s no problem! I was out of town yesterday but hopefully I’ll have time today! I had never seen “Bill’s” case or photos until this thread, but I agree...seems like a match! I’ll keep the thread updated!

Frankie Regina McGraw has been missing for 48 years after escaping prison twice.

According to an Aug. 17, 1973, article from the Chicago Tribune, McGraw was serving time for check fraud when she first escaped from jail.

She was caught after saving a 58-year-old man from a water-filled gravel pit near Grand Rapids and reviving him with mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, according to the Tribune.

McGraw escaped again, this time from the Huron Valley Complex, on May 28, 1974.

Her two convictions stemmed from incidents in June 1973 and December 1971.

She may have been seen in Ypsilanti sometime in 1978.

She was 23 years old at the time of her disappearance and would be 71 years old now.

She was last known to be in Nashville, Tennessee area.

I think Frankie may have been resident at 426 Bruce Avenue Niles, Michigan in 1969.

There's a newspaper clipping from 30th August 1969 that mentions a Frankie Regina McGraw as having violated a temporary instruction permit. Lists her address as 426 Bruce Niles, which I take as Bruce Avenue.

She would have been about 18 at that time.

The heck kind of alias is "Frankie Regina Dyed"?

Do we have any timeline for the use of aliases? For example, if this was one of the later ones, it comes across to me as she "killed" her original ID off and went deeply underground.

Many times a stated "alias" is simply a misspelling of someone's real name by someone else rather than an intentional action by the subject person. Also, variations on legitimate names like only the first and last name rather than the full name might be listed as an alias or a maiden name.

I looked into it yesterday too, but didn't had the time to post yet.

The questions that came up...who is "our" Frankie Regina? Is she indeed RFW? Is she someone different than Frankie Regina Perry or the same person???

If this missing person is indeed RFW I think the marriages to
Rojas (Bexar, TX, 17 Dec.1969, bride 18 years, Tarrant, TX divorce 9-Feb-1973, bride 21)
and
Scott (Tarrant, TX, 18 Nov 1973, bride 22 years, ......, divorce 8 Oct 1975, bride 24)
are the right ones. It would be consistent with her birth in 1951 in Bexar county, TX.

There was a Frankie Regina Perry who immigrated with her parents Frank and Ra(or e)gina on May 29, 1950 from Canada, being 0 yrs at the time, but there is no link with Wren and the DOB (30 April 1951 in Bexar county, TX) would be off. Also this person would have been 17 in 1967, like is said in the paper clipping, marriage to HL McGraw.

I searched and searched (Familysearch and My Heritage) but wasn't able to find a marriage between Regina F. Wren to (according to things out there) a Herbert Lee McGraw in 1967. RFW would have been 16 at the time and her first marriage and she would still have been in high school in San Antonio (Bexar county, TX) That I couldn't find it is maybe because not all records of certain states are available, or I was looking into the wrong one. Maybe I should do a fresh search.

Still her use AKA's mention McGraw and Perry?? I also couldn't tie RFW to Michigan. The years wouldn't add up.

I think you're correct it is not the same young woman in the yearbook images. I cleaned up the mug shot a bit. They're VERY similar, and some differences could be put down to age, but I think Frankie's nose is longer and sharper?
