GUILTY Australia - Mathew Dunbar, 42, suspicious death, Walcha, NSW, 2 Aug 2017 *Arrest*

Just referring back to an older article.

In arguing for her release, Mr Anderson said Ms Darcy was prepared to live at her mother's south coast home, report to police twice a day and wear an electronic monitoring bracelet.
But prosecutor Kenny Ng said there was "great concern" about her interfering with the Crown case if she were to be bailed.
"This applicant has a tendency to fabricate evidence and to effectively come up with or enact very elaborate schemes," Mr Ng said.
In reaching his decision, Justice Campbell referred to evidence of her providing a false name, phone number and address in buying ram tranquiliser from an Armidale vet.
Ms Darcy has alleged her details were mistakenly recorded, the court heard.

So an Armidale vet mistakenly mistook her name, phone number and address!?
Maybe one digit wrong in her phone number but every identifying particular?

Don’t let this dangerous thing walk our streets.

Today Darcy appeared on a video screen in the NSW Supreme Court from Mary Wade Correctional Centre in Lidcombe and said "not guilty, your honour" when asked if she had killed Mr Dunbar.
Justice Elizabeth Fullerton then ordered her trial to begin on June 1 next year, estimating it would run for six to eight weeks.

Mr Dunbar's heartbroken mother Janet still struggles to comprehend the loss of her son.
"He'd give you the shirt off his own back and unfortunately he was too trusting," Ms Dunbar told 9News.
"He just wanted to belong to a family. Family meant everything to him," she said.
Mr Dunbar's neighbour and close friend Bill Heazlett said he was still very much missed.
"It's a loss to us all, a loss to the community and a loss to us particularly as friends," he said

The property at the centre of an alleged murder near Walcha has been sold at auction for more than $4.5 million.

The 'Pandora' property that was owned and run by the late Mathew Dunbar, was sold for $4.65 million at auction last Thursday, well above expectations.

More than 50 people went to the property auction, held at Walcha Vets Supplies, including Mr Dunbar's mother, Janet Dunbar, who appeared visibly upset by the sale.

Who was/were the beneficiaries of his estate?
Thanks for the update Pi.

Australian Community Media understands the proceeds from the farm sale will be held in the estate until the completion of Darcy's trial.

Neighbour Daniel Kermode made the initial bid of $3.5 million before the other bidder, a joint registration by another two neighbours - Henry King and Angus Monie - joined in.

The bidding went back and forth before Pandora was ultimately sold to Mr King and Mr Monie for close to $4,000 an acre.

Thanks for the update Pi.

From Jan 2019:
The court heard Ms Darcy was aware that Mr Dunbar had made her the sole beneficiary of his property, Pandora, in NSW's Northern Tablelands.

"The property is one of considerable value. At least ordinary folk not having great personal wealth would think so," Justice Campbell said.

I await Darcy’s outcome with bated breath.
Justice MUST be served here.

I think I recall reading quite early in the piece that Mathew was adopted. No wonder he was keen to have more family. Poor Mathew. Poor Janet. Does anyone know if that woman's trial is going ahead this year, or is it postponed indefinitely?

Finally at trial :)

Woman’s disturbing google searches before partner died: court

Natasha Darcy googled ‘how to commit murder’ in months before she allegedly murdered partner, court hears
A woman on trial for murder allegedly made dozens of shocking internet searches before blending sedatives in a Nutribullet and feeding it to her partner.

A woman searched “how to commit murder” five weeks before she used a Nutribullet to blend sedatives into a drink for her partner and gassed him to death in his bed, a jury has heard.

The phrase was among dozens Natasha Beth Darcy allegedly searched online in the months before sheep farmer Mathew John Dunbar died at his property on August 2, 2017, in the regional NSW town of Walcha.

Ms Darcy, who stood to inherit the $3.5m, 1200-acre property “Pandora”, is now on trial for Mr Dunbar’s murder.

She has pleaded not guilty to murder, contending Mr Dunbar’s death was a suicide and she assisted him to die.
