IN IN - Amiah Robertson, 8 months, Indianapolis, 15 Mar 2019 #3

Just caught up on this case.

MsBetsy said:
This case reminds me of Breanna Lewis. Her 11 month old baby Harlee went missing and was found dead in a diaper box in a field near her house. She was charged with homicide by child abuse, the judge ordered a gag order and we have heard basically nothing about the case since last may.

Indictment issued on 6/11/19. Nothing else "new".

Thank you so much Niner, always appreciated!!

I don't know if this was discussed. I just started following this case and have been reading all the posts here.

I'm not sure I know how to post a link. I haven't done so in years.
Suspect in baby Amiah’s disappearance arrested on forgery charges

The check RL wrote had a phone number on it that belong to a "friend" who happens to be involved in Amiah's case. I saw the documents but can't find them now that showed it as the babysitters phone number.

I have questions about that whole scenario. If RL was dropping the baby off and never showed up to the babysitter, why was she and "others" the last to see the baby?

Why would he go there and then not leave the baby?

I fear that the last seen at 1:15 on March 9th is more lies. Nothing makes sense except LE has reason to believe RL was in a certain area on March 9th. Given the description of the neighborhoods involved, I would not expect anyone to come forward.

I believe the heavy drug areas and the lifestyle of the close parties may preclude them from even knowing what happened when.

This is such a sad case. Add little Amiah to the list: Baby Lisa Irwin, Ayla Reynolds, and so many others I've followed that have never been found and the idiots responsible never pay.

On the Unidentified baby's thread, I listed all the cases I could find in NamUs for Missouri as well as all other bordering states, but there were no recent cases, just older ones. So either the baby recently found is unreported, from further away than one boof states bordering Missouri, or not very recent.
Has there still been no update on this?

O/T, but I wasn't even aware that we had such a thread :(

Circumstances of Disappearance
Amiah Robertson was last seen some time between March 9, 2019 and March 14, 2019. There have been conflicting reports concerning the date of last contact. Foul play is suspected in the case.

This just breaks my heart. I had hoped she would be returned, alive. I keep looking at her sweet face and I'm now starting to feel that she won't be coming back. She's gone.

A sweet little baby, what sort of person can take a baby's life. Why ? What did she do that caused her disappearance?

As I hold my week old baby granddaughter, I look into her eyes and I don't think I'll ever understand, why.

altojack, I've said this many times before ... people like you and me will never understand "why". Our hearts are too full of love for these precious little ones. Blessings to your new baby granddaughter.

I still pray Amiah will be found and properly laid to rest.

Thinking of Amiah on this Christmas Eve :(
She should be getting into fresh pjs and tucked into bed tonight ready for her first Christmas in a safe and loving home.
Instead, I dread to think where she is right now, alone in the cold. My heart breaks for you baby girl that sadly you weren’t born into good hands, you weren’t kept safe and looked after. Why is no one fighting for you? Why is no one screaming for justice? It makes me so mad my eyes fill with tears for you little princess.

We will be here until the day you are finally allowed to rest baby. We will never forget you Amiah.
