OK OK - Patricia Taylor, 14, Tulsa County, 1 Jan 1980

Thank you. It's an issue when I can't access Namus due to being outside the United States.

I just looked on the Campbell County Jane's NamUs page and Patricia is not ruled out.

Thing is, I can't contact Namus since I'm outside the States.

Happy Birthday pretty girl!!

An aside for people who don't know: Link not accessible usually means that UID was identified as somebody else.

Thank you @carbuff !! I wasn't sure how to relay that without adding a paragraph-long footnote to each list of exclusions ;) (or 'rule-outs', R/Os ??? ) ... I guess I'm still not sure exactly how to post the list ...

I haven't figured out a way to copy the list cleanly. Usually I copy it into a text editor and massage it by hand to make it presentable. That's why I'm so behind on the longer lists. If it's just a few names, I'll just retype. I've seen people take screenshots and post those. While it might be nice to have some consistency in how we do it, the important thing is that the information is maintained here, because pages and lists and even websites (like NAMPN) disappear all the time.

And I've seen all those terms used interchangeably. I tend to use ruleouts, but now that I have a MacBook and spellcheck keeps turning it to "rollouts," I may change that.

That makes sense @carbuff. I am usually on my mobile phone and do the same - copy, paste and then I have to edit it. (I'm sure there's a way to 'post with/without formatting' from my phone, I just haven't figured it out) Then I go back and attach links to the actual NamUs profiles and edit a little bit. But it's a little different when I do it from my desktop. lol, It's time-consuming but I don't mind doing it. It has exposed to me cases I wouldn't have otherwise seen.

I'm also not sure exactly what others can and cannot see. Depending on what country they're in or what operating system, etc. they're using (compared to my own). I've seen a couple of other people who post screenshots and whatnot and I have shied away from the 'bigger' cases or ones with longer lists, but I agree with you about some consistency. Also about the main goal is to share the information.

I will help however I can even if that means leaving the 'rule out/exclusion/RO' lists to the professionals! :) Please message me if there's anything I can do to help you! I'm very much accepting of constructive criticism!

I appreciate you!

I’m not super familiar with this case and I don’t know how to check and see if this Jane Doe has been ruled out or not. Does anyone know?

I saw it mentioned she had a tattoo. Is that a determinable fact? I hate seeing so many unidentified people

@Verity1215 welcome to Websleuths! and Patricia's thread! :)

The Jane Doe you mentioned is not on the list of excluded comparisons to Patricia. (I quoted a previous post that I happened to add just prior to yours with the current list of rule outs that NamUs has for her).

If you are able to create a username and password (REGISTER) on www.namus.gov , you can view the list... they will be under 'comparisons'.

FWIW (for what it's worth), I think the Jane Doe you mentioned is a good possibility! I'm not able to go back over all the details of Patricia's case right now, but at first glance, I think it's worth submitting!

Let me know if I can help you with anything, although I am new to Websleuths also! :D

Thank you so much for the welcome! I got myself set up, thank you for the tip. When you say it’s worth submitting, in what way do I do that? Can you tell I’m totally new to this?!?! Lol thanks for any help or pointers you can give.
