Besides the stupidity of essentially ignoring the purpose and intention of a safety rail, what was amiss is that grandpa didn't bend down or sit down to look out of the (lower) window with Chloe. That way they could have safely enjoyed the experience together. imo

Too many people don't get down to the child's level - in whichever way they physically can - to share experiences with the child.

You're right. Some older people can do it. Some can't. It's a variable depending on your joints.
I have an art table, etc., I use with the gkids.

Maybe that's why SA "collapsed" on the ship after looking around on the deck for her ?
He wanted to make sure enough people 'saw' him ?

Yup. SA was a seemingly devoted stage actor, which is crazy to say the least.

Makes me question the sincerity of his entire behavior from the point Chloe died onwards- especially his “collapse” on the cruise ship and fake interview cry.

I wonder if there is a way to recover the acting videos he deleted on youtube. Would be interesting to see him in an acting scene that involved crying or grief...

No reason to think there were any videos of stage plays. Any deletions were for privacy for family. IMO.

There actually were indeed videos of SA’s actung that were deleted after the child died. Since the videos were of SA- and no other family members- I don’t see why they would have been taken down due to privacy concerns. IMOO

I just find them strange, recorded music and a house with Christmas lights, well ok then... Seems an odd thing for a grown man his age to spend his time doing. But that’s just me.

They were stage play videos amongst others. I saw them months ago - a mix of family stuff, amateur dramatics, Christmas lights, etc. What I found interesting was there was lots of hockey videos for the older grandson but virtually nothing of Chloe.

I think it's cruel to imply he was acting when he collapsed knowing he caused his g-child to fall 11 stories. Can we please stick to the case; the man is cooperating and going to trial. He isn't going to enjoy anything ever again whether he's honest or not, regarding what happened. We've covered plenty of criticism of him here already & I don't feel good about all of it. How would you feel if he takes his own life, or has a stroke? His life is ruined and through his own actions, there's nothing worse than that really. He can't undo his error and surely he would do anything if he could. If the video or report of it shows blatant, appalling negligence I will be just as angry and upset as anyone, but right now this thing is on hold until some other info comes to light. I'm sure someone will be offended by my words, sorry about that. My fellow posters know I like, respect, and support them all these months.

This was in response to information about SA's various residences with speculation about frequent moves, evictions, etc. I pointed out that such information on various data sites is erroneous and should not be taken as fact. Like you've said, there has been enough negativity about Grandpa without digging into his past or making wild assumptions about his hobbies or interests.

No one would be talking negatively about him if he hadn’t changed his story multiple times, and if the family wasn’t blaming the cruise line.

You are coming from the point of view that this was truly an accident and that SA is tormented by guilt and feels remorseful. How do we know that’s true? That is as much speculation as saying he was acting during his interview because of his stage background.

There are all sorts of aberrant personalities and ways of thinking... Maybe he feels horrible or maybe he is enjoying life just fine and making plans for the future. I wouldn’t take it as fact that SA is tormented by what he did.
