Well, there have been rumblings of blood being found on SM. I think this statement was carefully crafted by her to attempt to refute all the stories that are popping up on SM. I don't want to get in trouble, so I can't list them all, but there are shocking number of SM speculations that are "answered" in this statement. IMO, of course

No way. I dislike the immediate jump to narcissism most of these threads take so I won't use that word. However, she clearly displays a need for control and to try to convince people of her story by sheer force of will. I get the sense that staying quiet is physically painful for her. I think this statement was put out because she CANNOT keep quiet in the face of all the speculation. She wants to be in control of the narrative. IMO, of course, again.

As to the bolded, very good question. I know that my kids, at 11 or so, would absolutely tell their Dad about any wounds they got, if he was out of town. It is a major conversation point for an 11 yr old, if they step on a tool and get a bloody injury. I would be surprised if they didn't tell anyone about it over the weekend.

ESPECIALLY since Tee said they routinely send Dad pictures of what they are up to. A picture of a fresh bandage is a must see photo, for most kids to send to Dad. JMO

Thank you for that detail. I have been wondering about that but was reluctant to specifically ask and set off pages of neigbhorhood street parking regulation examples.

But, I question why her vehicle was in the street when she and Gannon left that morning. She pulled it into the driveway before he got in. But why was it in the street in the first place?

I know some neighborhoods don't allow that overnight, so did she use the vehicle earlier that day?

What I'm thinking is she moved that vehicle out of the driveway to access whatever car was in the garage. If she drove that car in the morning, it makes sense she would drive it back into the garage but not bother moving her vehicle back to the driveway at that time.

Not sure what that could mean....but would like to know what she did Monday morning.

So there are supposedly sharp woodworking tools laying around in the garage. Kinda think it’s strange to allow a child to walk around with no shoes. As a parent, don’t see that happening. And than go hiking the next day with a child with an injured foot? Again, as a parent, forget about the fact his foot likely hurt and a parent would be concerned to not irritate that injury. But who is going to want to go hiking with a child who has a hurt foot? The nagging and complaining alone would drive any parent insane.

I think there was blood found on the tool AND in the house. Injured foot is a perfect explanation if there was little traces of blood found in various places of the house, unlike say if it was a hand injury.

Now I am getting an idea why this case is so complicated for LE. TS had an explanation for everything. They have to follow up on everything that she told them in the search for Gannon while running a parallel investigation along side it to find out what really happened. Jmo

GS of Colorado Springs left home on foot around 3:15 p.m. to go play at a friend's house, his parents say, but never came home. GS was wearing a blue hoodie, blue jeans and tennis shoes when he went missing. He has brown hair with brown eyes and weighs 90 pounds.

During the press conference on Tuesday [February 4th] , Sergeant Deborah Mynatt, answering a question from a reporter, “Are you still saying that [Gannon] went missing between 3 and 4 o’clock [on Monday, January 27th],” stated, “That was the only information related to us, and therefore, the first day that the reporting party called in, that was indicated to us. That was the bit of information we had to work with, there were some other factors and information obtained during that call. We type-coded him as a runaway because of information we received.”

Immediately following this exchange (it starts at around 12:40), another reporter asks, “And that was reported by the stepmother, correct?,” to which Sergeant Mynatt answers, “Yes.”

Law enforcement walked up to the home and appeared to be searching in the backyard with flashlights. The garage door was opened and a car was pulled out. We are waiting for an update from the sheriff's office on why law enforcement was there.

Also on Thursday, a Sheriff's Office patrol car with two deputies was parked for an extended period of time across the street from the Stauch family home, and two other men appearing to be law enforcement officers sat in an unmarked car down the street.
However, the officers left the scene after two men and a woman got into a pickup truck parked in the driveway, and drove away.
Many people on social media are wondering why more information about Gannon isn't available. As KRDO NewsChannel 13 reported Wednesday, it is the policy of the Sheriff's Office to investigate reports of missing children aged 10 and older as runaways, until evidence is found to prove an abduction or kidnapping has taken place.

At one point, deputies thought GS had stopped by the *advertiser censored* & Go convenience store on Mesa Ridge Parkway Monday night, but after the mother reviewed the surveillance, she confirmed it was not her son.
The sheriff's office says they have information that leads them to believe Gannon ran away. They did not elaborate further. 11 News asked EPSO Wednesday if GS is still considered a runaway and was told he is. Law enforcement and family are concerned about GS's wellbeing and are anxious to find him. GS's father is a member of the National Guard, and the Guard is also assisting with search efforts.

She characterized GS as "a very loving child. Disappearing is totally out of his character; he always has to be with somebody. He's very quiet, very smart."
GS's mother, who lives in South Carolina, and father, who was away for military training at the time of his disappearance, share custody, she said.
Information received during an interview with GS's stepmother and other information lead deputies to believe he's a runaway instead of a missing person, Mynatt said Tuesday, adding that foul play is not suspected.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is now involved in the ongoing search for a missing/endangered 11-year-oldColorado Springs boy who went missing Monday afternoon, and the task force investigating his disappearance is organizing a team of volunteers to start searching for him.
The search for GS remains an active investigation and the Sheriff's Office said deputies are following up on all potential leads that might help them to find the boy, including continued witness interviews and evidence collection.
Deputies said they have received multiple tips since GS was reported missing. Deputies also said while they are monitoring social media, they are not using it for tips.
At Thursday’s press conference deputies said repeatedly that the main focus of the investigation at this time is to find GS. They also said that while they have been in contact with local trash companies and landfills, there are no searches taking place at those locations at this time.

As of Friday afternoon, the sheriff's office had received more than 70 tips in the case.
On Thursday, 11 News learned The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) deployed a consultant from their Team Adam program to help. Team Adam is a free resource provided by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children to law enforcement. Named after Adam Walsh, the abducted and murdered son of NCMEC co-founders John and Revé Walsh, Team Adam provides rapid, on-site assistance to law enforcement (LE) agencies and families in critical cases of missing children.
The National Guard has also dispatched some of its troops to help. GS's father is a member of the Colorado National Guard.
Civilian-led search parties have combed the area in and around the Lorson Ranch neighborhood, where Gannon's home is located.
"So far, we've had random people going out anywhere they can," said Sara Robertson, one of the volunteers searching for GS Wednesday. "We decided to have more of an organized community around here, so we're all meeting here and heading out in different directions. We have about 40 per group. We have it gridded out checking every neighborhood all the surrounding grassy areas and fields ... looking in holes, in culverts, in ditches, anything we can do."

The El Paso County Sheriff’s office changes the location of the mobile command post relocating to the Incident Command to the Sheriff’s Office Training Facility across from the jail on Sunday.

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. -- One week after an 11-year-old El Paso County boy went missing, authorities received a new piece of evidence to further the investigation into GS’s disappearance.
FOX31 obtained a copy of this evidence that came from a neighbor's surveillance camera. Authorities have asked us not to describe or show it yet because it’s a part of their investigation. To ensure we don’t compromise anything in the search for GS, we are honoring the sheriff’s office request.
A few doors down, neighbor RD did some investigating on his own.“I couldn’t sleep so I just stayed up and I started looking through [surveillance footage],” RD said, adding, “I looked through on my tablet, then I said, 'Let me look on my TV to be sure.”Police have asked us not to share what he found yet.“This is something the investigators are looking into and it would be part of our investigation,” Kirby said. RD took the footage to GS’s father, who immediately called detectives.“He just broke down crying,” RD said. RD says detectives were moved by the footage too.

Not to diagnose TS, but this is a sign of a narcissist. They can’t stand not being in control of the narrative. They NEED people to believe their narrative. She worded the statement in a way to make it seem that her story is what LE believes as to what happened but in reality, this is more likely just her story she gave to the LE when they questioned her.

I find it odd, that if LE truly believed GS left out that side gate with a friend or other person, and they even have a discription of said person that they wouldn’t have asked for the publics help in looking out for that person.

Yes, and after her first interview I'm surprised she held out for so long before making a statement to 'clear up' all the confusion and rumors about what happened.

The problem for LE is that if they don't have any solid evidence that she is involved, they have to follow through with all the information she gave them.

And it still doesn't explain her lack of concern for him and why she keeps insisting that he is alive and he will come home. How can she be so sure that whoever he went with won't harm him?

So, at first she had no idea who he went with or to which friend's house he was going....but now he went out the side gate & they have a description of the person that LE hasn't bothered to release after all this time?

So is she trying to say he went out the backdoor & through the side gate which may not be visible to cameras? Or he went through the gate & out the backyard somewhere? If he came through the side gate and walked down the road, surely one of the neighbor's video systems would have caught a glimpse of him. Is there an exit in the backyard aside from the gate? Doesn't make sense to me either way.

She claims there are details that were hidden on the video from the neighbor due to the department doing their job...but it was the neighbor who gave it to the MSM, not the department....so....?

The last thing that they needed was a hindrance to their investigation.

But she's gonna make sure there's one now by talking about a person they have a suspicion of (ALLEGEDLY).

I guess she wasn't worried about the possibility of tetanus from the tool he stepped on, either.

I'm curious if AS is pacifying her to get more info, since she's suddenly thankful for him rather than her thinking he should apologize to her.

"I think TS thrives in chaos and drama. Especially chaos she is in control of. When it gets out of her control she does stuff (ie yesterday) to try and swing it back in her favor. I think this has worked for her in the past with her family and friends, and I think it worked well. But, it's not going to work now. She hasn't been able to wear down all these people looking in on the case with her manipulation and emotional abuse tactics. I don't know if I think the will burst per se, but I think she's going to keep losing control of herself and her actions. She doesn't know how to handle not being able to swing the narrative in her favor. I think she is so used to being able to control everybody around her she is eventually going to dive straight into the deep end and say something that will, hopefully, lead to Gannon."
