It’s been awhile since I started a thread but I saw this article and did a quick search here but didn’t see anything. So here goes:

Police have released a sketch and are seeking the public’s help in identifying a pregnant woman who was found dead in Lake Michigan near Waukegan earlier this week.

How do you make this show up as a picture?

Just came here to see if this had been posted.

Manicured fingernails and toenails and sounds nicely dressed. Everyone is different but I would imagine at that stage of pregnancy painting one's own toenails could be difficult. Certainly could have been homeless but suggests otherwise. And so far along in pregnancy - you'd think at least a few people would be aware and awaiting the birth. Very sad.

From the above link.
The woman was described as an African American female between the age of 18-40. She is approximately 5-feet-4, 150-170 pounds, six to seven months pregnant, and had brown eyes and black hair likely pulled back into a bun.

For reference, Waukegan is kind of known as the midpoint between Chicago and Milwaukee.

I was just north of this location a couple of weeks before. Wonder how no one has reported her missing. How sad…to say the least.

By any chance were you at Illinois Beach State Park? We stayed in the campground once. I wondered about this part of the lakeshore, with 2 drowning victims found.

(Since this is the Illinois lakeshore that I visited, well everyone must go to the same spot, right???)

The Coast Guard found her body about three miles southeast of Waukegan Harbor.

It is believed she was in the water for no more than seven to 12 days, and she might have entered the water anywhere from the northern Indiana shoreline to the northern Illinois shoreline of Lake Michigan.

Jane Doe looks IMO a lot like this missing woman, Blotter – Page 2 – News and Alerts from PPD Ijaya Tett, but there is not a lot about her out there. I can't even get access to this site. She is from Pennsylvania, 21 years old....it seems like she already run away in 2005, but was found safe then. I found a FB site that might be her's. The missing woman might have a tattoo on her arm...not mentioned with this UID.

Amazing. The lips and nose are identical. Open her eyes just a bit and they are twins.

Taliyah McClinton would fit maybe. Has she been found? If not I was looking at Kijah Taylor, but that is a bit of a drive.

Police say pregnant woman found dead in Lake Michigan near Waukegan was murdered

By Sam Borcia

A 19-year-old pregnant woman found dead in Lake Michigan near Waukegan earlier this month is believed to have been murdered, detectives said.

“Due to the diligence of Lake County and surrounding area residents, sheriff’s detectives received dozens of tips as to the possible identity of ‘Lake Michigan Jane Doe,'” Lake County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. Christopher Covelli said on Friday.

One of those tips led to a missing 19-year-old woman who was residing in Chicago, Covelli said.

Sheriff’s detectives obtained the dental records for the 19-year-old and the Lake County Coroner’s Office is working to confirm the identity.

An autopsy showed the woman had been stabbed. She had “several sharp force injuries” on her body, Covelli said.

Sheriff’s detectives are investigating the case as a homicide. The official cause of death is pending.
“Detectives feel confident the missing 19-year-old Chicago woman is ‘Lake Michigan Jane Doe,’ however, public identification is being withheld pending official confirmation,” Covelli said.

On August 15, a fisherman on Lake Michigan spotted a body floating in the water around 3 p.m. three miles southeast of the Waukegan Harbor.

She was six to seven months pregnant. Detectives believe the woman was in the water for no more than 7-12 days.

Covelli said the woman could have entered the water anywhere from the northern Indiana shoreline to the northern Illinois shoreline of Lake Michigan.

A sketch of the woman was created by Mount Prospect Police Detective Dirk Ollech and released on August 20.

Even though detectives believe they have identified the woman, they are still asking for the public’s help in providing information on the suspect or suspects involved in the woman’s death.
Those with tips are asked to contact the Lake County Sheriff’s Office at 847-377-4000.
