Willis with the two 'light of his life' - Sadie and Daisy. He says he didn't leave his home between January 7 and 9, not even to walk the dogs.
One would assume he let his dogs out to relieve themselves ?
How did he miss the man in the back porch ?
JW may be entirely blameless but since there are three dead people on his property; of course there are going to be questions.
One would hope he is being as candid and straightforward as possible with LE, for instance.
The entire sad picture is becoming more clear in regards to the unnamed 'buddy'.....
So sorry for the men's families !
Omo.

the dogs weren't there
it says so in the article you posted (underneath the picture of him on the bench)

'He says he didn't leave his home between January 7 and 9 because the dogs were at his father's house, as they often are'

Was the 5th person inside while the 3 were outdoors?
Did the 5th person stay overnight?
Did the 5th person leave at the same time as the 3 deceased men? Walked to the door by the renter, as the lawyer stated?
I believe the new lawyer story is...5th guy left before the three men did, then JW walked the 3 to the front door and said good night-bye bye, JW crashed on the couch and the door was left unlocked, then the 3 at some point came back inside the house to hang out and play video games., then JW got up and went upstairs to bed putting ear buds/headphones (which I don't know, I've heard both described) in/on and turned on a loud fan to boot (in the dead of Winter, which I don't understand at all, but that's just me?). This explanation has changed, via the lawyer, so many times. I sure hope LE are keeping track and ask for another cooperative interview, just for clarity. The families deserve clarity. AJMO and trying to build a scenario in my head as to what happened, when and how.

Edited to add: The story is JW apparently never left the house now like was previously mentioned that he was home sporadically.

a lot of people, me included, sleep with a fan on all year - it is white noise that helps people sleep
and looks like this guy used headphones too for the same reason JMO

Okay wait--now he was asleep on the couch for two days?

Man, these changing stories are making JW look suspicious in a way that he wouldn't have if his lawyer had just kept his yap shut. IMO.

ETA: So did they come over to watch the game or did they come over after that game?

Ah, the friends didn't watch the Chiefs game at his home. They went to his house after the game.

“The basic scenario is they had watched the Chiefs game in a couple of different places. They went back to his place afterwards to play some video games and hang out. And at some point during that process, he got tired and he fell asleep. … When he woke up, they were gone,” Picerno added.

I'm not sure why these facts keep getting missed - but you are so wonderful for repeating them and including a iink.

This is happening all over the USA. It's still mysterious, but parallels other stories from that the last month. Not unusual to watch in more than one place, as I understand it.

Once again, as a reminder,

If a person has not been named by law enforcement as a suspect or person of interest, they are considered a victim. Period.

You may reasonably discuss what is said in the mainstream media by them or about them, but do not make random accusations, insinuations, suggest their involvement, trash, bash or attack them, or speculate negatively about them.

Should you choose to post in violation of Websleuths’ victim friendly policy, your posting privileges are subject to suspension.

Post accordingly.

I dunno. I'm a college football fan since I'm 11 years old, grew up with multiple fellow rabid fans, went to a football college, married a pro football fan, now work with a LOT of rabid pro fans, and I have never heard of fans going from place to place to watch one game.

You go where you're going to watch it and stay there until it's over, unless it's obvious what they outcome will be and you are not one of those diehard fans who watches every second of the game, so you leave.

So I'm skeptical that they were watching the game in several different places, unless that means that each of them watched the game in a different place and they all met up afterward at JW's house from their respective game-watching venues.

But I highly doubt they were together and moving around from place to place watching the game.

This rings true to me.

IMO too it is very doubtful that a passionate fan would miss risking the action. Missing one minute could mean missing a crucial play.

I can only envision this scenario, hanging out at different places DURING the game, if either they are all casual fans, or more likely because this was a nothing-ish game. It’s still fun for most fans to not miss anything, but since most of the Chiefs starters were inactive, and the game would really have no effect on the playoffs, maybe I could see it if they went first to one place and then went over to JW’s during halftime? Maybe?

I have no idea of course what happened here, just theories like all of us have, but it definitely doesn’t sound kosher to me. Something is not adding up and IMO the lawyer’s narrative is just making the whole thing even more bewildering.

This KC FOX 4 news story talked exclusively with the reported 5th friend and his attorney. I highlighted a detail from the interview below which contradicts what JW's attorney has said during interviews that he (JW) escorted the three deceased men to the door and said goodbye to them before going to bed.

The 5th friend says he arrived at the home at 7pm and left just after Midnight. When he left, JW and all 3 deceased men were still up watching tv.

I posted another article explaining that.
However did he leave his house to go and walk the dogs at his father's residence ?
I'm assuming JW did spend time with his pets, after the first night that the friends came over.

Thanks for this link, @GMS !
Curious and baffling.
I can understand msm's maybe 'misreporting', but the atty. should have a good handle on the facts by now.

Saving this post as I agree it's unlikely.
Waiting impatiently for the tox tests to come back, and hopefully answers for the families.

Maybe they were bar-hopping?

It's also worthy to note that it was the final game of the regular season, the Chiefs had already clinched their playoff spot and most of the starters were on the bench. The game itself was also a bit of a snoozer. So, even the diehard fans may not have been that focused on a game which was basically meaningless.
