Looks like they dropped the Violation of Parole charges (drug charge) and reinstated her probation when she went to court on Tuesday. This is why she was allowed free on bail.

This applies to both of her cases: forgery & uttering a forged check and petit theft.

Not sure if this applies in FL, but I have heard about it. If Tommy goes into a drug treatment program he may be able to serve his time out of jail or elsewhere.

Probation for federal drug offenders?
The U.S. Sentencing Commission wants to let federal judges impose a sentence of probation for certain drug offenders if they participate in a substance abuse treatment program.

The sentencing guidelines currently give courts the authority to sentence eligible defendants to community confinement, intermittent confinement, or home detention as alternatives to prison.

So there is a 50% chance he may come out and 50% he could stay in :banghead:

Can't recall who, but someone posted there was no substance abuse program in the facility he was sent to in Carabelle and I also recall seeing that information posted on the site....JMHO

Looks like that refers to federal drug cases. Tommy was not prosecuted in federal court.

I believe the blurb on the docket is just the official Order for the drug offender probation that was part of the sentence. It's 10 years per the sentencing info docketed, to start upon his release from prison. Sometimes Motions have to be followed up with a Response, or an Order of some sort--usually either granting or denying. And sometimes an Order must be made as a formality; in this case an order to begin community supervision may need to be in place prior to release and doing it now means it will not fall through the cracks, IMO.

Tommy's case is reopened, however, to the possibility of his original sentence being modified. Werter made the Motion; the court will respond or set a hearing date and then we should know more about where the Motion may, or may not, lead.

That's true Emeralgem. No substance abuse program. Isn't this the ten years probation talked about in this article?

“Mr. Croslin is a drug dealer, pure and simple,” LaRue said before imposing the sentence. He also sentenced Croslin to a concurrent five years in prison in a possession case. The trafficking sentence included 10 years’ probation following prison and a $50,000 fine.

Does anyone else besides me think it is strange that none of Ron's court dockets have been updated to reflect his 8/20 court date where he pled guilty to three of the charges?
It has been over 10 days since that appearance, it doesn't usually take more than a week to update them. I was checking to see when his sentencing date is and it wasn't there.
I found it in a media report, Sept. 24.

Didn't we see that with Tommy's too? I think that his and a couple others weren't updated around his trial and before sentencing that I was watching. WBG and another I watched maybe. Someone supposedly on vacation is what I heard. Maybe common with pleas even though he's plead guilty. Guess a "Man can change his mind" during that time? Who knows?

My opinion won't get the vote for the most popular opinion of the month or even year but I think everyone involved in the selling of the drugs that got busted by the undercover should be sent to lock down drug treatment. Going to prison isn't going to do anyone any good. These people are addicts who were dealing drugs to feed their own drug habits. Tommy had even gotten into breaking into houses and stealing. Why not give each person a chance. Lockdown treatment is as close to prison as you can get. Then if they use and sell after then get out of lockdown treatment they should get sent to prison to serve time.

Drugs are brought into prisons every day of the week. Ask anyone that has ever been there. The way that they are gotten in will leave some people speechless. It sure did me. Gross. Prison doesn't help drug addicts because they don't get any help with addiction in prison. It's not going to help any of these folks either and they still aren't going to have any answers about Haleigh. I don't know if that is because none of them have the answers or because they are just good at keeping secrets. I do hope that we have the answer to what happened to Haleigh one of these days. But not helping addicts isn't going to bring Haleigh back or help find her.

What is lockdown treatment? Is this a program affiliated with the court system.. I thought most in-patient substance abuse programs only housed patients for about 28 days at the facility..After that you were either sent to a half way house set up to aid the patient in living a drug free lifestyle or the patient was put out to pasture to attempt to stay clean by attending AA,, NA or CODA meetings as often as necessary...JMHO
