    This case reminds me of Gabriel Fernandez. The CPS workers were eventually held accountable, may they rot in hell for all eternity. Gabriel still haunts me. I'm not sure if I can follow Rebekah's story but I will try my hardest.

    I totally agree. That's why I think nothing short of a brain tumor could be behind the Defense's decision to pursue an insanity defense--- but that presumes their belief in their client's innocence is genuine and not just desperate game play.

    It certainly IS very difficult to prove insanity. The fact that the defense is now changing their approach, and looking at the timing of it, I wonder if they've done some medical testing and have only recently received the results. I'm thinking of something irrefutable like evidence of a brain...

    "The assailants first demanded 100 rupees from each person prior to the attack". The victims were unable to pay. All of this-- murder and multiple rape and assault-- all of this over $6.45. Six dollars and forty-five cents!

    I can think of only one reason why no jurors have given anonymous comment: LE has asked them not to, while they work on filing charges for the first parent's death. Let us hope so!

    It seems strange that all 3 men initially suspected were reported released based on lie detector results! I'm not sure that would happen today, when such tests are not considered permissible in a court of law. Carol's case seems perfect for genetic testing, if only to rule out these 3 men--...

    I keep wondering if she was referring to a highway or route number, ie Route 138. Is there such a thing in that area? (I am horrible with maps). I just cannot fathom driving that fast, even on a highway!!

    I agree she is not legally insane, although I do question whether her longterm goal planning is significantly impaired. She certainly seems to possess a roiling mass of personality disorders, but that doesn't qualify with the court. IMO complaining & sarcasm are her psyche's main driving force...
