    GA GA - Shirley, 87, & Russell Dermond, 88, Putnam Co, 2 May 2014 - #13

I really am hesitant to be specific. I have a very sharp memory. I will say this much, if I recall correctly, there were social media posts by someone who would have definitely known the couple, the post is specifically remember showed a picnic near water. I'm intentionally being very...

I just hope they finally arrest the correct perpetrators

My opinion only...I still have a strong feeling this was someone related or in a relationship with someone related to them. Early on there were social media posts that led me to believe this. Nothing nefarious but just interesting. This was a very personal crime in my opinion. And I think it...

UT - Charlie Kirk Murdered on Utah College Stage *Arrest*

I'm thankful the suspect is in custody. I am curious as to why security cameras on a college campus weren't being viewed live. This is concerning for campus safety in my opinion. Security should have seen someone on the rooftop. Not just for an event but in general. Just my opinion

UT - Charlie Kirk Murdered on Utah College Stage *Arrest*

I'm wondering if he didn't escape via airplane and is no longer in the area. What is the closest airport? Ditching the gun close to the scene seems odd unless he knew he absolutely had to. Jmo

AL- Dr. Julie Gard Schnuelle, 59, AU professor (ret.), walking dog @Kiesel Park when she was fatally attacked, body found in woods, 6 September 2025.

I'm thankful for Aniah's Law! Something is just odd about this entire thing! APD said no immediate danger knowing a killer was on the run during a home game. And APD hasn't made a public statement! I work with a local reporter sometimes and the release of information was very tight. Suspect...

AL- Dr. Julie Gard Schnuelle, 59, AU professor (ret.), walking dog @Kiesel Park when she was fatally attacked, body found in woods, 6 September 2025.

As far as motive...stealing her truck still makes zero sense. People have said he was polite, had been in the Auburn area for a while. Stopped at a local gas station and bummed a cigarette before walking to the park (not confirmed). My opinion is he had a major psychotic break. I'm concerned...

Very local to this case. He wasn't only after her truck. It was found a few miles away and he was located a few miles farther. If someone hadn't called in a suspicious person, he would still be at large. We have to have better communication with the public during situations like this. The...

    GA GA - Jenna Van Gelderen, 25, Atlanta, 18 Aug 2017 #5

I have recently been made aware of some major criminal activity around the Emory area. And how Dekalb County pd just doesn't help victims. Absolutely furious for Jenna and others in my hometown. Did Jenna attend Emory? Have associates who may have worked there? Just brainstorming

This was what I had read. Do we know if there was a net?

I thought it had read there were bouy type things with underwater netting. Not close to the beach but it sounded like it was far enough out to not interfere with swimming. But possibly put there to help with marine life coming in too close. I'll search this thread and see if I can find it...

Can someone please explain the netting discussed earlier? I can't remember exactly where it was posted here. But would that have kept her from being taken far out in a current? Is the beach area wide open or more like an inlet/cove?

I agree. I just don't think it happened the way he says.

Logically, yes. But we don't know her or how she typically did things. My heart breaks for her parents. One thing I can say with 100% certainty...parenting older teenagers/young adults is mentally exhausting! Letting them learn from their mistakes, make their own decisions and giving them...

I'm not sure. I thought it was at their same resort. I just think we have to look at the possibility she was taken. I'm not sure if the beach was safe at night. I can't imagine my college freshman walking from the beach to the room alone. Just brainstorming the big "if" she encountered...

The more I research, the more I'm seriously wondering if she was taken from the beach. We don't 100% know if they were in the water right? Thoughts and opinions?

Can someone please link the picture of her cover up that was found compared to what she was wearing? What i saw doesn't look like the same clothing. But I can't remember how far back that was on here

I really don't think JR did anything to cause her disappearance. I wonder if maybe they kissed, she didn't want it to go further and he got out of the water and passed out. If she wasn't really in to him then I could see why he didn't look for her the next morning (not wanting to seem...

Just some random thoughts after reading this thread...I have been known to get in knee deep ocean water if I didn't want to go all the way to a restroom while on the beach. Could that have been why she was waist deep in the water? Is it possible they had messed around on the beach and then got...
