Brian McDermott was the right age to be one of the men. An Ancestry UK Electoral Register record shows him at The Royal Standard with a birth year of 1942-44. Whether he was one of the men is a different question to which I do not have the answer.

...from her father, who ran a pub in Earl's Court, or from some other source. It seems very strange though to disappear without waiting for this lump sum of cash first. I'm still trying to work out the identity of the prisoner from HMP Whitemoor, who claimed to have buried a woman in East Anglia.

Jesus! I didn't know about the Ventham / Hall / Tempest stuff. As you rightly say, sadly all too common in places like Blackpool. It seems that anywhere with social breakdown and cheap accomodation ends up being a hotspot for paedophiles, I think not only because they get dumped there after...

...many with convictions against children, I don't know the figures for Great Yarmouth, only visited once on a motorcycling trip to East Anglia in 2017. There's almost certain to be paedophiles & other sex offenders living off the grid in Great Yarmouth. The Andrew Ventham, Jim Hall & Derek...

Found Deceased UK - Gaynor Lord was last seen in Norwich city centre on London Street heading towards Norwich Cathedral, 2:35 pm, 8 December 2023

The cathedral we're talking about isn't the Roman Catholic one. That's much further out from the City Centre, out near the ring road as I recall. The cathedral in the case is the Church of England one right in the City Centre.

I'm out all day with work but I've just got a nice shiny new phone with a much better data package so I should be able to follow the trial while travelling around East Anglia :)

I found this podcast on Spotify which gives a really good description of where she was found. It is only a very short drive from where I live so decided to go and see what the road and area looks like. I want to see if a lorry could access the area. It is also very close to a RAF shooting range...
