Wow, she was so neat and orderly with all of her plastic and ziploc bags, along with the detailed labeling of medications/supplements. It would not be cheap to be on all of those supplements, and judging by the sheer amount I wonder if she was seeing a naturopath or similar. I thought for sure...
@bombardier - thanks so much for posting the autopsy file. It was one of the most organized and thorough that I've ever read. I feel so bad that this poor woman got hold of some dirty drugs. She didn't deserve to die. I hope she finds peace and can be reconnected to her loved ones very soon!
She must have been born in 1963? I was born in 1973 and was in no shape or form to be working as a hairdresser in 1987! Very sad case - thanks for all the great posts, everyone.
Thanks for re-posting, @Marie A!

Was the disappearance of his wife Mary-Lou even mentioned? CA - CA - Mary Lou Boston, 23, Sacramento, 26 Sep 1968
Also, I remember that one of his sons was a frequent poster on Websleuths but I can't remember where. Possibly on the EAR/ONS/GSK threads before Joe DeAngelo was apprehended...
Yeah there was a *ton* of family discord, a lot of it being aired openly on facebook. The reason for Nolen being fired hasn't been formally disclosed, but might have to do with his involvement in after-hours "activities" at the courthouse. Judge is fired for 'smoking, drinking, playing cards...
Omg @JulianaMoon that is horrifying! I'm so sorry that you went through that nightmare. I was just a bit younger at the time and didn't make it much further from home than Six Flags as a young teen but I am very familiar with the areas described. I grew up in Arlington and went to TCU for...
That's a really great write up. It was crazy for me to see names of all of these places that I visited so often as a child in the 70s-80s. We had a lake house in the area and my parents had dear friends who lived in Kingsland. It was really, really small. I'd imagine that the rumors were...
It's wild when you're so invested in all of these missing and UID persons that when you see a familiar name it's like whoa - and all of a sudden two mysteries are solved at once! I immediately remembered she was a nurse working in South Lake Tahoe, possible Zodiac victim when I saw her name...

Kathy's older daughter, Erin, has a blog with lots of information. She is very open and honest about how this tragedy has shaped her life. She's really well-spoken and extremely resilient. It's a really interesting read.

It's frustrating that even parts of notes aren't released. Even if the content is completely generic (which I doubt), there could still be something useful. Maybe he had some really unique handwriting. Maybe he used Spanglish. Little clues that could make a loved one say "oh that's him!"
I can't find the photos of the "elaborate IV device" - like I can't get NAMUS to load? Anyway, yeah the more you look into it the weirder it gets. He absolutely knew more than your average bear, especially since he couldn't just look this stuff up online like we can now. He infused the bag...
