It's interesting you say this. I've been reading everyone saying they think he looks normal and non-threatening, and he looks the opposite to me. He looks exactly the type of man I've encountered many times who make advances and then become angry and mean when you turn them down. Not saying...

Australia - Serial sex attacker behind 27 assaults in Sydney's eastern suburbs, 1984-

Yes, she is still alive. I think I will run it by her and see if she will call it in, the worst that can happen is that it's not related.

Australia - Serial sex attacker behind 27 assaults in Sydney's eastern suburbs, 1984-

My mum lived on the central coast back in the 80's, and she had a very frightening encounter with a man who was wanted for a number of rapes at the time, and as far as we know he was never caught and the attacks stopped. We have been wondering about this today, because there are a number of...

I was on a single parenting payment until recently, I didn't have to do anything for 6 years, the money just came in automatically. Family Tax Benefit is a bit different though, I think, because they ask for a family income estimate once a year. Not sure what happens if you don't update.

Gotta say, it would not surprise me at all. I've been in this area for the past 16 yrs, and have 2 young children, and I can tell you that some creepy stuff goes down around here. Not just paedophiles (though there does seem to be a hell of a lot here), but creeps in general. I had a stranger...

"Local" would be anyone from that particular town. So, although I would say Wauchope is near Kendall, I wouldn't call a Wauchope resident local to Kendall. Particularly as these are small towns we're talking about, people living there are fairly particular about who they consider a local. It's a...

JMO, I live in the area, and most people here would consider it "near", I think. We kind of consider anything less than an hour away as close really.

Depends where the warehouse was. It certainly wouldn't be the chosen path from Laurieton to Bonny Hills. Do any articles say where the warehouse is?

There are 210 students at the school. Very small.

I definitely agree that someone would be able to verify if he was there. It would be a relatively small school there too, which makes it even more likely IMO. Even at my daughters school (which would be bigger) her teacher or one of the other parents would definitely notice if I was there or...

CCTV depends on whether it's a private or public school. Public schools in this area don't have cameras, but the private schools probably do.

I live in the area, and I'd say the travel times are pretty close to accurate. Speed limits vary a lot in the area, and we can get quite a bit of traffic with tourists etc. Based on my experience, Laurieton to Kendall would be around 10 minutes, though with the highway lights in between this can...

<modsnip> It's never been said by anyone involved with the case that he has ASD, so I would assume he doesn't (or, at least, not diagnosed).

Actually, just something I wanted to throw out here, I can think of 3 incidents in Australia in the past couple of years where a complete stranger has tried to snatch a child literally out from under the parents nose. At least one even wrestled with the mother to try and take the child. There...

ITA with the first one. I immediately thought of the corolla as well. I wonder if the way it has been sketched is accurate in terms of size/shape etc.
