Article seems pretty fresh. Was actually written in the future according to this source.
“Technology Detector Dog Georgia found one USB stick, a micro-secured digital card and a SIM card,” AFP Commissioner Reece Kershaw told a Senate estimates hearing on Tuesday evening."
What is it with this case?
Incompetence just seems to abound at every single turn. And why are things still seemingly being done in the dark? Has nothing been learned?

I think it's more likely the opposite will be true. The passage of time is likely to have damaged the strength of the prosecution case due to the massive potential for loss of evidence.
(Very) fortunately, it doesn't appear that the case has been damaged beyond repair and their suspect...
Just incredibly frustrating to see things like this when we now know they had exactly what they needed the entire time. I can only hope that when this is finally over we (and more importantly the victims loved ones) receive an explanation and apology for the delayed justice caused by their...
Incredibly frustrating to watch the Jerry Holeman interview again, knowing what we know now. Everything they needed was already in their possession at that point, they were just too incompetent to put the pieces together.
"Somebody knows what happened. For whatever reason they won't come...
Well that's that. Only a few hours of deliberation suggests the jury were in little doubt.
Glad they released the footage. Absolutely agree with the Justice Goose that it's in the public interest.

Catching up on today's proceedings. I did enjoy this exchange featuring Nigel Power of the prosecution.

Unfortunately that's the best we can now hope for. That people weren't left to die slowly whilst the police took it easy.
Who knows if there would have been any survivors left had the pressure not been ramped up for the police to to look harder.
Have we had clarification yet regarding whether...
RSBM. Just in the in interests of accuracy, there were still frames from the video released shortly after the crime, however LE would sit on the video for over two years before releasing it.
Just one of many baffling LE actions which have severely hampered this case.
