I think shifferbrainz was implying that the insurance company would own the car, not necessarily have possession of it. I don't know if legal owners have any ability to start/allow additional external investigations while the police or other related teams are still doing their initial investigation.

This is an excellent point, and I would HOPE that the forensics examiners would be checking this all out. The way they treated the car, though, it's hard to know what evidence is still intact.

These photos (a lot of selfies) were all pulled from Toni's social media accounts, except for a few older ones that looked like they were shared by her family. These types of "come-hither" shots are what she chose to share on social media, and are the most current shots of her, I guess.
