Hmm hopefully they can extract DNA and compare this UID against Jaime Doering. He went missing a few miles away in Gresham a few years back. Brown hair and around that height, would have worn clothes close to that size, and was transient. His encampment must have been in the deeper wooded area...
We have a heavy homeless presence around this area so transient is possible, however there isn’t an established camp in this specific spot (too open), and LE had crime scene tape up and active team on site for nearly two full days - which is not typical when they just find someone deceased in a...

Not much detail yet at all, only that the remains are not yet identified.
Without an actual copy of his social security card it would be difficult to make any case that this person is even using his SS number (which could have been incorrectly recorded on his papers). Steve could have accidentally written the wrong thing, purposefully written the wrong thing, could...
It looks like he’s gone missing more than once - the NamUs page said he went missing in Las Vegas and was last seen in Los Angeles in February 2023, but I found an article saying he was found soon thereafter. Then he was reported missing in Colorado (Fort Collin’s) in May 2023. Then he went...
I wonder if Michelle Ellis has been looked at. Her features aren’t a striking match, but sometimes reconstructions - especially with older cases - are unflattering and not the most accurate. Michelle went missing in early August, about 3-4hrs away. She’s young for the estimate (23) and was not...
Maybe they did further Y chromosome analysis and were able to confirm androgen insensitivity syndrome… That’s going above and beyond in the effort to identify :)
I apparently stopped getting notifications for this thread for a while, I did not realize that his SSN had finally been verified and confirmed to have no activity. I’ll have to go back and catch up on the thread.
I suppose my question is what purpose it would serve to have him declared deceased? Would that purpose be functional or sentimental? If sentimental only, is that worth taking the risk that he is actually alive and could suffer significant complications for whatever other living family he might...
I assume not sharing what it says either means part of the tattoo is illegible due to damage, or that it’s something more “offensive” (such as “pissy” or “pissoff”). If it was a legible inoffensive tattoo it seems improbable that they would withhold it while asking for help to identify.
Now I wonder… between the article saying that they are awaiting “additional” DNA testing and LE talking to Logan’s father, could it be possible that the “rule out” was because the remains did not match dad’s DNA and now they are testing mom/her family in case the dad was not actually bio father?
Exactly. It’s totally possible if this was a more recent death that the blanket originally belonged to the child’s older sibling, was a hand me down from another family, or was a thrift store find, but Logan being born in 1997 would mean this blanket would have probably been on shelves all the...
Yeah this is what I thought. It’s a Beacon blanket, and they closed over 20 years ago (Beacon Blankets: The Mill - Swannanoa Valley Museum & History Center. That particular “Pooh” logo was used from 1995-2000 (Winnie the Pooh). Makes me really curious to know what the PMI was based on and I hope...
Wow.. uh… If that print is correct, think that’s a nearly 30 year old blanket… wonder if we are looking for a parent who was born in the 90s or who has a significantly older child they reused the blanket from, or if PMI is just way off..
If he met with foul play at the hands of someone else early in the morning, it’s possible he left the ship inside another passenger’s luggage… that wouldn’t require triggering any overboard sensors or scanning his card/bracelet.
This is getting stranger. Coffee and sugar on a sofa? What happened during a home invasion with a goal of abusing a child that led to that happening? Did they go looking at the laundromat the moment dad suddenly noted he was missing a laundry basket or did they just go from that comment to...
