This guy wanted to be caught, but wanted to lead the police a merry dance so the story got as big as possible is my guess.
Otherwise he isn’t carrying a manifesto on his person - he’d have put it online or left it somewhere, let alone a gun he could have dumped.
I don’t take cabs in NYC that often, but because of the partition between the back and front, convos with the driver just wasn’t a thing! But of cousre, he must have paid by cash, so maybe said a few more words than just a destination.
IF (and I don’t think this is the case), he isn’t from the US - then his fingerprints would have been taken when arriving into the US. So I’m not sure he’d have been so casual about touching things (ie water bottle) without gloves.
being how planned this is, I’d asume he didn’t! Why risk stealing a bike, could be tracked, and he’d need to find a bike to steal at a very precise time. Nothing about this suggests he’d even consider that.
Is it though?
I have very little time for NYPD (and even less time for Mayor Adams!), but not sure what they could do different here.
They got to the scene quickly, they seem to have been pretty meticulous in scanning CCTV and tracing his steps and gathering evidence.
He likely got out of NYC...
He bought 2 of them bars, I’m guessing he did want them! But yeah, the idea of eating while gearing up to kill someone, just adds to the ‘ice cold’ aspect of his demeanor through it all.
It was a little chilly at 5 to 6am yesterday morning in the city, so with some time to fill up, maybe not a...
It’s kinda how it is with such a high profile case though - the news is front and centre. Also, assasinations in midtown Manhattan are not an every day occurance, so that hightens the focus of NYPD too, it’s not like they deal with this sort of stuff often, that part of NYC isn’t a hotbed of...
Late in thread 1, someone asked about the backpack.
The one in the photos form yesterday is by a company called Peak Design, and it’s the ash colored version 1 ‘everyday backpack’ they sell.
Dorset police arrest man over death of Emiliano Sala
Police investigating the death of Emiliano Sala have arrested a 64-year-old man from North Yorkshire on suspicion of manslaughter by an unlawful act.
Sala, 28, had just signed for Cardiff when a plane carrying him crashed into the English...
It's Wales, not England. Sorry, not being pedantic! Its an important distinction to anyone who is Welsh (like me!).
Anyway, these deaths in Bayern and Rhineland Palatinate is facinating.
yeah, it reads as meaning the taxi driver and the motorist - making two people. 'Neither are suspects'.
This guy they have arrested is a different motorist I believe though, nothing to do with the one they already talked about earlier.
