Morning, all! My "all nighter" crash landed around 11:45 I'm afraid. But I had to kill a spider armed only with a can of Lysol (me, not the spider) at 5:30 this morning, so my adrenaline is pumping! I just got caught up on the thread from yesterday...a log? And a "wooden" log at that. Hrmmm...

Somebody beam the bat signal if Woofie starts a new thread, I'm waddling down to the kitchen for Chips Ahoy.

Poor Jim, I hope he brought mosquito spray. I was sitting on the porch a few hours ago and lost about a pint.

Ugh, I'm going to be up all night waiting for an update. I'm stress-eating pecan praline right now. My hips, my hipsssssss! :cow:

Rob Perillo lies to me multiple times a week, so I'm just gonna tune him out.

I don't think it's considered "sleuthing" to ride around on public streets trying to spot a particular vehicle, is it? I can see if you were constantly circling and making people suspicious, but a ride-through or two would hardly get you arrested. I think LE has bigger fish to fry at the moment.

Chicken Fried, glad you made it back. I was getting my girdle all in a twist. At least take someone with you next time!

OT, but I have to laugh a little at all the confusion caused by our crazy South Louisiana speech. Everybody in my family answers the phone with "Where y'at?" even if they know exactly where the other person is. And yes, everybody lives "off" this road or that road, or is "out of" Lafayette or...

Hey Chicken Fried, actually got enough sleep last night for a change because I forced myself to get off the laptop and go to bed at 10. It was at the RaceTrac on Evangeline Thruway. I think people are getting them from Facebook and printing/posting them on their own since the volunteers have...

These threads are moving like lightning! I'm trying to catch up and prepare a balance sheet at the same time, but I'm seeing a lot of great posts. I'm so glad there are people here who know something about automobiles, because I couldn't tell the difference between a Buick and a barn. And I...

Chicken Fried, you seem to have vanished, but I'm seeing the poster you made with the car all over Facebook! I put it up on my wall but I'm seeing at least 4 people "sharing" it from people I don't know. This is great!

I think I agree with whoever posted that. I was really surprised when they called off the Whiskey Bay search so quickly. I'm hoping that LE is keeping a lot of information under wraps so as to not scare someone off...and maybe that's why the volunteer search was suspended too.

From Facebook (Black Berry Messenger): At this time the volunteer portion of the search effort is indefinitely suspended, however it is still ongoing. This suspension includes food, beverage, and material donations of any kind as well as manpower coming in to participate in the search effort...

I don't think that she went out of her way to meet up with a guy, or with a girl, or to buy weed. But several posters were putting forth those theories, that maybe she had a "secret" boyfriend. If she isn't heterosexual and is just starting to come out, maybe she'd want to keep her relationships...

That is the most adorable thing I've ever seen. What makes me feel so sick and sad is that I feel like I could have been friends with her--she seems like such an awesome person, with a fun, relaxed personality. It makes me mad as a hornet that someone would hurt such a beautiful spirit in any...

That's the thing, I don't really know many women who DO keep secrets. They usually share almost everything with their close friends. That's why I'm sticking to the theory that Mickey wasn't going anywhere "secret" to buy weed or meet up with someone. BTW: I know that some women are capable of...
