Just putting this out there, in case it was a deliberate attack with a car, and in case the accused had a dash cam.
The footage could have been accidentally saved to the cloud and could give police evidence for a murder charge:

Yeah, a hit and run implies it was accidental, but if the accused deliberately murdered SM with a car, it would be correct for police to say it was a deliberate attack and not a "hit and run."
This is important. I always thought police specifically said it wasn't a hit and run, but after reading this, they only alleged it was a deliberate attack.
They did not confirm or deny that a car was involved.
The words, "not a hit and run" have popped up in numerous articles, but the words...
I once heard a phrase (it was probably from a true crime show),"The simplest answer is usually correct" aka Occam's Razor.
I don't know why, but this phrase always sticks with me when browsing Websleuths. I know it's a terrible way to do detective work, but, if this theory is usually correct...
I, too, remember reading that he worked with his father.
And, if that was the case, he could've made any old excuse to leave the site to go off and do whatever.
I hope police search around any job sites he may have been on, especially near the bush. He would've had the opportunity to scope out...
I think it just shows the phones within that range, like when you look at your mobile phone bill and see the suburbs where your calls were made from.
I think police would have looked at the phones in that range, then checked to see if any of the people on the list were known to them. That...
SBM. Trying to be careful with my words here, but I believe if you wanted to look up the court appearances of someone, all you would see is their currently scheduled appearances.
It doesn't show their entire history, so what you see could just the be the tip of the iceberg.
Just thought it was worth mentioning, that people in criminal gangs can still hold regular jobs (which is a scary thought.)
Did the accused work for his father? If so, I doubt there were criminal checks. He may not have been able to get a job with anyone else.
You could be onto something there. We don't know who the accused associates with. He could have passed the items on to someone to sell (pretty difficult with today's technology, but still...)
This person could have panicked after PS was arrested, and passed them onto yet another person.
The...
Yes, that's what I'm thinking. I wonder why they chose to end the search that time of the afternoon?
It's interesting given that it was originally reported that Sam's device last pinged at around 5pm.
I'm wondering if they chose the time of day they did, because they were re-enacting something? Something they suspect happened that time of the day Sam went missing? Could also explain the use of dirt bikes?
Also, the reason they are not keeping the family in the loop, could be because they...
Thanks for this!
So it looks like this area was easily reachable by one road, from the spot where SM disappeared.
It lines up with what I kept thinking - that the body was taken somewhere nearby, as there were pings from her device at 7am and 5pm.
Meaning the device could've been taken with...
SBM. Good point. He could've pleaded an accidental hit and potentially be faced with a lighter sentence. I'm assuming the latter crime would incur a longer sentence because it's more calculated and more of a risk to the public.
Police did say something about the public not being at risk, but it...
I think it's because there have been so many people actively searching/coordinating searches of late.
Usually if the case has been off the public's radar for a long time, police don't say things like that...
But, it's so still a good sign IMO. They don't want any disturbance to the potential...
I've been reading the posts revisiting the theories of Mick being alerted to an incident from Sam's watch, and also the accidental hit by a vehicle.
I'm leaning towards Mick not getting an alert from Sam's watch, because according to UI, Sam's device (phone or watch?) indicated that something...
