Bloomington police man early morning roadblock
An unannounced roadblock was manned by Bloomington police early Friday morning. Police stopped all traffic traveling through the intersection of College and 10th Streets during the early morning hours, the same time period when Lauren Spierer disappeared a week ago.
Officers handed out flyers containing Lauren's photo and asked each driver their whereabouts on the morning of June 3. They also asked the drivers who travel through the intersection on a daily basis whether they had noticed anything out of the ordinary last Friday morning.

List could have prevented pre-Spierer disappearance
Lauren Spierer returned to her apartment building with her friend Corey Rossman after leaving Kilroys Sports Bar at 2:30 a.m. last Friday morning. Rossman was in the fifth floor lobby when he was punched in the face by a friend of Spierers boyfriend Jesse Wolff. Smallwood Plaza Apartments spokesman Ernie Reno said Rossman was not supposed to be allowed in the building.

The Bloomington Police Department led a traffic stop that questioned drivers, walkers and bikers traveling down North College Avenue at about 3:30 a.m. Friday morning.

Man with Spierer on night she disappeared submits DNA sample
One of the people with IU student Lauren Spierer the night she disappeared has submitted to police requests for a DNA sample.
24-Hour News 8's Jay Hermacinski confirmed Friday that Corey Rossman voluntarily supplied a DNA sample. We've also learned other "persons of interest" have been asked to give samples as well. Bloomington Police have said there are 10 persons of interest, but no one they'd call a suspect at this time.

Men among last to see Spierer asked to give DNA
At least two of the last people to see missing Indiana University student Lauren Spierer has provided a DNA sample to police.
Corey Rossman, who was seen on surveillance video walking with Spierer, 20, to his apartment last Friday morning, was asked by police to provide DNA, which he did voluntarily, said his attorney, former Monroe County Prosecutor Carl Salzmann.
